Steam Workshop Online???

I noticed there are now races and ships on Steam workshop and have subscribed to a few of them but they did not download to my game. Is it not online to the game yet? Any timeframe for when it will be?

If you are on the 1.1 beta version, the Steam workshop integration is available and as far as I can tell, working well.
