Some ideas/requests: 1. Like In GC 2 Ultimate (IIRC) I'd like to be able to get other civs not only to make war vs., but also to make peace with someone else. Such a peace deal should hold for a min. time of turns (so that the aggressor can't attack again immediately), maybe depending on my influence/power etc. and/or the stuff I offered to get this deal 2. As posted in the 2.0 thread currently diplo red lines ("this civ is too owerful for

Being able to make your own ships adds hugely to the fun factor of GC III, as it did for GC II. Now in III having all this with fine hires textures and way more detailed components it's just glorious I fully agree the GC series would be great games without the ship designer, but IMO having them adds immensely to the "longevity" of those games since you can always create something new...
Woohoo! Thanks, and please let "Spring" begin in march, not only in may ;)
This is looking so cool :) Can't wait!
Regarding diplo red lines - do they work as intended? In my recent game I had the Torians replying "this civ is too powerful for us" when I wanted them to attack the Yor. So far that looked right, but if you offer them enough they still agree to go to war - in this case in exchange for Harpoons. So the red lines are just....well...orange? Seriously, I don't think it should be so easy to get around them...
Hey thanks, that's a nice bit of info. I didn't know about the early shift select thing and did not look into templates myself much yet. I understand Crusade will make it easy to define custom ships styles for every civ. So I'm wondering if the AI would tend to mess up those by placing weapons etc. so that it looks silly, and what means we'd have to prevent that.
To be fair - I can certainly see why you are annoyed by this, but I don't think it s realistic to ask for a bug free version of GC3 vanilla *before* any more DLC etc is done. Because that would require complete knowledge of all existing bugs to happen. But thing is that bugs are not all discovered instantly, some may still lurk around if they get triggered in certain situations only, and some may also be the result of patching. So IMO the best we can do is to report
I use the "hide part" in the designer as design help, to check parts behind others or place stuff there -- I guess that is what the hide function is for? But I assume (never tested) that saving a ship with a "hidden" part does still show this part in the game/battle viewer, so activating "hide" does only work in the designer? Because I thought it would actually be nice to place components to get the stats up but have them really hidden, so that they do not
Hi, firstly on Administrators: Why is it that if the enemy destroys one of my SB I get an administrator back, yet if I decommission one I don't?
I do get one back for each SB I decomission - just tested it. Dunno if there could be another prob preventing it...
Im glad the spam is gone. This makes me think I might actually come back and try GalCivIII now. 2.0 is not the large expansion brad has been talking about is it? When does that come out?
Afaik there's no official (or even inofficial) ETA yet. I only remember a Frogboy comment from end 2016 that it is to ca. 75 % done. So hopefully not long anymore...
Oh, could be the reason indeed that I did not progress into that age yet. I didn't think of it, as I never run before into this, thx.
Is it not possible to research massive scale construction (unlocking huge hull sizes) as Iconia? For some reason I got the prereq tech, but I'm not offered to research huge hulls, pls. see pic - I cannot select massive. In the standard tech view it is not offered at all. Does it play a role that I got the prereq tech (hull capacity +20) from an artifact, so did not research it myself? Or is there another prereq tech I need to get still? <a href="http

Backup your folder C:\Users\ yourusername \Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Designs Once you got the new machine running, copy your designs from there into that folder of the new system. That should be all. (edit: dunno if there's a diff location on other Winversions, I use Win 10)
I play usually gigantic maps and think the admins available (plus researchable) are fine. It's a good addition in general. Now on to crusade... :)
I guess the image size for FGs, BGs should match the screen resolution you're using - I play in 1920*1080, so I made custom leader pics in that size and put them into mymods folders. They show correctly. Hard to say from here what else could be wrong. Are the file names correct (ending with .png)?
FWIW it did not happen so far to me after the most recent update (today). I have not played lotsa turns yet, but so far it's looking good.
There seemed to be some update? Steam just dl-something for me :)
This sounds like an reply to frogboy's post in the other thread regarding admins? However, as for SB's: personally I do like them, but what I don't like that much is lots of economic SB's per system /my 2 cts
It did not occur to me in the 1st incarnation of 2.0, but after the updates it did in several games and I found no way to get around the prob, so I gave those up.
I like the ships of the 1st and 2nd faction most.
I had one the 1st time in 2.0 - it always happens on the same turn when the Drengin AI (no idea if its specific to them) wants to make its turn and the file "debug.err" in ..\common\Galactic Civilizations III shows pages of those messages: Debug Message: Command Line: Debug Message: Command Line: Debug Message: Command Line: Debug Message: Command Line: Debug Message: Command Line: Debug M
Nice changes :) BTW, as it mentions starbases and constructors that have several modules -- it seems building a shipyard with a constructor having more than one constructor module makes you lose those above no.1
Thx for the hint about map BGs - I also hate the orange-brownish one wish makes stuff on the map very hard to ID. I see to change that for my personal mod asap :)
I'm not sure what to make of the new AI behaviour in regard to trades - they seem to request trades a tad too often, but most important, the offers are sometimes totally inacceptable, and sometimes a real bargain....
