It would be cool to be able to simply generate a new ship style from the editor in-game. So after changing ship templates have a button "save shipstyle as XYZ" which you then could give to your custom races at will The steam option that is there now does not seem to work for me, or I do something wrong. However, when modding your own game going via steam to get a new ship style would seem not ideal anyway, so I think easiest would be just to combine temp

Playing Crusade, last patch - works overall really well for me now (thx!), but one thing is odd: Ring systems of planets never seem to be placed correctly (around their planet) in the battleviewer. I don't have a screenshot, but planets with rings have them in the wrong place, so the ring goes around the upper third of the planet, not around the center. Maybe just cosmetics, but it looks really strange, wondering if WAD. Is anybody else getting th
I'm just getting a 200+ MB DL from steam. Would be nice to know what it is :) edit: ok, scratch that. It said 200 MB to dl, but once it started to update it jumped to 0 and completed instantly. Strange.
Is it a Steam installation? Verify game files may help. (oh yeah, that's my standard reply to those issues. still a good idea :))
3. "Coming this winter" means now (plenty of snow I see) or in like 10 months?
From the thread below I understand it's rather soon: https://forums.galciv3.com/492793/page/1/#replies
Re hypergates/hyperlanes - this got me thinking: Is there actually some difference (other than speed) when being in "normal" space, and being on hyperlanes? Maybe I'm overthinking this or think too much in B5 terms where normal space and hyperspace were distinctly different, and combat seemed to have occured mostly in the former. Can every ship/fleet intercept enemy ships on a nearby hyperlane, will this just be like normal combat?
This DLC looks like a must-have to me :)
But Retribution's story takes place after the liberation of worlds that had been savaged by the Drengin and now the Terran Alliance is a military super power. It is also pissed off. The human race tried to be nice and where did that get us? Now we have the upper hand and what should we do? What do you think we would do? And that is the background story for Retribution and the inspiration of the new features in the game.

But do consider the following: artists cost money as do programmers as do writers as do voice actors, etc. I'm assuming the resources for this expansion are not unlimited; therefore, allocating more budget to art means reducing the percentage of the budget spent on other parts of the game.
Good visuals are a selling point as well, not only a cost factor, so they could easily add to the budget (if
The camera is also problematic, it's hard to get a really good view of your ships in battle while this could easily be one of the most fun experiences in the game, seeing your very own designs in action. If the ships should fly slower in more orderly formations to give a better view of what is going on.
I think the battle viewer could display things in a more cool/epic/spectacular fashion. Hypergates sound cool definately. I'm looking forward to this XP :)
Got it on Steam? Maybe "Verify Files" in Steam might help in case you got damaged files?
Would you recommend Intrigue? I do not own it yet and I'm not sure if I should get it. Does it make a huge difference? (I have Mercenaries, Crusade and few, but not all smaller DLCs).
Good thing is, it's early 2019 already. On the flip side the OP does not detail "early" any further ... ;)
Those points in the OP sound cool certainly :) I hope they don't add up much in regard to turn times or maybe we even get further optimizations to make'em turns go a tad faster? (I don't use the largest map sizes and just got myself a new machine couple months ago, still....).
FWIW I'm also one of those who think starting positions could be less close. So thanks/kudos for providing this mod.
I gave you +1 for those 10 yrs, and the avatar :D Sry for the OT.
Yeah, I agree with the op. True, it needs time to build up, and certainly early game the player should not get a huge income easily. But personally I'd like trade to be somewhat better, tourism otoh somewhat weaker in generating money. As things are now it is not a huge problem for me, but it feels always kinda imbalanced.
Thx Stardock :) I got some time to play GCIII during the next weeks
This problem has been mentioned in the 3.1 thread. I do have ithis issue rather often, but it seems to affect not always the same stuff in every playthrough. It happened for me so far with: Computer Core, Import Export Center, Central Bank for sure and maybe others as well. In my recent game I also have two ships equipped with a Plasma Arc P which is labeled a "one per player" weapon. I do have mods activated, but reduced modded fi
I can't really imagine GC on smartphones, even with simplified gfx. May be on tablets though.
As a little update: In my case things have improved quite a bit since I changed to Crusade 3.1. I still get a greyed out "wait" sometimes, but it is very rare now. I'm not sure if that problem has been specifically adressed, but the only other major change I did from my side was to move my modded files out of their dedicated subfolder ..\My_Docs\My Games\GC3Crusade\Mods\MyMod\Game so that they are now one level up, in the pre-set ..\Mods\Game subf
I'm not an MP guy so maybe this is a silly question, but can't you just select the next bigger map size in MP? Or are MP games just possible with certain map sizes. However, I 'd love to have cheaper ship upgrades in shipyards and maybe starbases as well, esp. early to mid-game. In my games, I usually just build the newer types then , which makes the previous versions throwaway units as long I can't afford the price for upgrading.
Please bring back endless projects indeed.
Worked fine for me in vanilla 3.05 and does so now in Crusade 3.1 - didn't check Crusade 3.05 tho.
