In GC2 several civilizations had super abilities that gave them the ability to colonize some extreme planets from the start. Super Adapter (Iconian Refuge) Can colonize Aquatic and Toxic worlds at the beginning of the game. Super Annihilator (Korath Clan) Can build a Spore ship, which turns defenseless colonies into toxic worlds owned by you. Can colonize Toxic worlds at the beginning of the game. Super Isolationist (Yor Collective)

XCOM: Enemy Unknown was released in October 2012, Enemy Within was released in November 2013, versions for Linux and SteamOS were released in June 2014. I'd hardly call that abandoned. Firaxis is probably busy with Beyond Earth and Starships at the moment, if the new XCOM was profitable a sequel will be made. In the mean time I suggest playing other games, or try the Long War mod.

1. How will fleet formations work? Will we be able to select the formation type before the battle? 2. Will you modify terraforming before release? I think it could do with some improvements. 3. It would be nice if extreme planets had different icons than normal planets when zoomed out. 4. Will civilization specific techs be tradable in the next beta version?
The Alterians are genetically humans so spying between these two civilizations should be easier. It would be very difficult for a Drengin to pass for either. I suppose a civilization could construct a battle suit that would enable them to temporarely pass for Yor but someone could not wear it for extended periods.
They are not. They only look similar, genetically Altarians and Terrans

Frogboy posted this on the Steam forums some time ago: "Our new games, however, including GalCiv III are being made with future Mac and Linux versions in mind. Similarly, we anticipate making Offworld Trading Company available on both Mac and Linux as well."
Quoting Ryat, reply 23 Tactical combat was never mentioned. What they did mention was how much more you could do to improve the results in your favor plus changes to the way weapons worked as opposed to GalCiv2. GalCiv2 was very basic (example Laser - shields - other defense * .1 = damage
I named mine after my daughter, but it seems to be screwed up when I look at the list of approved names. I named it "Rose020209" and in the list it says "rose020209 roselyn"...?? [e digicons]:([/e]
In StarNamesText.xml there are two names, Rose and Roselyn. To make it clear, these are separate star names.

I don't want arbitrary penalties just because I colonize a new planet. Endless Legend has something like this and I hate it. Increase colony maintenance and colony modules' manufacturing cost, sure I can live with that. Please take into account that there are some things not in the game yet that will slow down expansion, extreme planets and pirates.

Let's see... Stated by Frogboy
This is, by no means, set in stone but only our current plan: When GalCiv III is finished (next year) its list price will be $49.95. We expect to release new DLC for it every month for the first couple months and then once a quarter there after. Each DLC will likely be priced at $4.99. I'd expect there to be around 5 DLC released per year. We also expect to release approximately 3 or 4 major

No. Colonize planets, build starbases, reseach life support, design freighters with more life support modules. Cargo modules don't need to increase range.

I'm not exactly pleased with how Terraforming works in GC3, so I thought I try my hand and modify it and see if can make something better. My main gripes with terraforming are: - it takes too long for any noticeable payout, until you get Omega Terraforming you don't really achieve anything - because the early terraforming improvements can be used on tiles that are also terraformed by Omega Terraforming most people decide to wait until they have all terraf

27. Went through ImprovementDefs.xml to see which improvements aren't upgrading correctly, I know the Yor have problems with this. Arena - says XenoAmusement , should be FightingPit Slaughtertorium - says TournamentTech , should be Arena HuntingGrounds - says Saughtertori

DrathianTemple - because the new icons are incorrectly labeled DarthianTemple ForcedLaborCamp - uses ForcedLabor, should use ForcedLaborCamp HabitatImprovementPlant - uses HabitatImprovementPlant, should use HabitatImprovement OmegaResearchCenter - uses OmegaResearchCenter, should use OmegaResearch ProteinResequencer - uses ProteinResequencer,

20. Upgrading a ship does not deduct credits. Started a new game with the Yor after the 0.61 patch. 21. There is still some sparkles where black holes are in the fog of war. 22. For the Govern Planet screen it would be nice if the manufacturing slider had labels. <img src="http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/53246
