If I may ask a noob question as well since I'm new to the GalCiv series...what's the point of mining? I can't find anything currently in the game that state any bonuses are received. Durantium, Elerium (sp?), and antimatter all seem to have no purpose. The relics are fantastic, but the resources...? Am I missing the obvious? Thanks in advance.
Currently not much, they are used in special components for ship

This should be answered by Stardock. But I see two methods, one our keys are on the SD website and we enter them on Steam, or method two Steam can tell the Elite edition apart from the rest, when I look at my transactions I see Galactic Civilizations® III - Founder's Elite Edition. Have you told your friend that he can purchase directly from Stardock and just enter the codes on Steam? The only problem I had with Steam is when I bought some DLC for Saint's Row 3 and
Makes me curious how an Arcean or a Drath would compare.
The founder packs were $99 and $39.99. The $45 'never going lower' promo (as many understood) came shortly before EA was anounced IIRC. I dont know if it ranked as a founder pack. Do you even read? I already said i dont have that mail anymore ... i deleted it, because i already was a founder. If i have the time i might check my backups ... but i dont think i am invested enough in t

Look at this page , and scroll down. Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access? "Galactic Civilizations III may be part of promotions both during the Early Access period and after, but the base price will remain $49.99." You still haven't provided one iota of proof to back your claims.
I apologize for posting in an old thread. But I wanted to bring to people's attention this mod: Bloodlines Antitribu . Description Bloodlines Antitribu is mod/expansion developed for Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines – a classic game based on the PnP world of darkness. Here you can find a full list of changes. Added over seven new clans each with completely new character models and unique trait
Yeah sure. Because the man at the gas station promised the price wont change... [e digicons] The Problem is, that Stardock promised something and then broke word. It is the loss of trust that is the problem. I doubt the $100 founders (i am one) are the ones complaining here. The others are and with right. They didnt invest $45 because the game is worth it right now, but because they belie

Am I to understand that this time of tribulation will soon be over? In other words, is this the next beta update?
Yes. It will be released sometime in March.
Ironclad went solo on this one. It is available on the Steam store.
A tad unrelated, but here's another RTS from Stardock: Ashes of the Singularity . It will focuses on large scale battles and will use the Nitrous engine.

Heads up, the official site was updated with new info. Looks interesting, but sadly I have too many games to play as it is. Will likely wait until it is released.
Are you playing on a laptop? It sounds to me like it's overheating. The same thing happened to me on my laptop, I cleaned it's fans and added thermal paste and no longer encountered that problem.
It's a sale on all GalCiv games, not just 3. It's Steam, games go on sale all the time, also the game was also half off in December. The tentative release date is May, previous was April, small delay was because Brad wanted more time to work on the AI. And the game was fully funded from the beginning. Also a statement from Brad:
I saw Galactic Civilizations III on Steam on discount even though it's still in early access. We have re

Yes and yes.

I await more info, but I'm getting a MOBA vibe from the concept art.
