Will there be steam workshop integration if not will there be other outlets for mods supported?

I know it's not finished but are there any plans for mod support on GC3?

I believe it has already been confirmed that Steam Workshop integration will be included. Check out the dev streams.

Since they have already undertaken the project of steam integration I would think that would be a very logical method of supporting modding. My only question is who is going to do a Dr Who mod?!

One question that still needs to be answered is: Will Steam's Workshop support 64 bit games? It has been stated in the past that one of the Workshop functions is to automatically collect crash information and send it to the game creator but the function is 32 bit only, and cannot support 64 bit games. If this is true (or still true) then one of the very important advantages of Stardock games is negated -- quality support for their products. This problem, if true, can only be solved by Steam.

This question needs to be addressed by, and assurances come from, Stardock upper management. (Sorry to be such a stickler about this. but that is the only level that would have the answers for this issue.)

If you read my post it is an opinion rather then an answer. You are correct that definitive confirmation would have to come directly from the dev team as with any game or software project. That is fascinating to know about steams workshop as I really had not paid it enough mind to be aware of that though.

Yes, I did read your reply, and I agree with you, I jumped in here because if Steam Workshop won't support 64 bit games as completely as it does 32 bit games, then we need Stardock to really get on Valve's backs about it. If Workshop won't support debugging crashes of 64 bit games, how can we expect it to support anything else about 64 bit games. It is the crashes that hurt in spite of what ever else it supports. No crash support means no way to diagnose errors, making any other support useless.

Lucky Jack, I think you are confusing Steamworks, developer tools from Valve, with Steam Workshop, a place for community created content to be shared.

Perhaps. In fact, now that you mention the difference, I think so.

if they had a working automatic tool that could collect and send crash reports and error messages stordock would be much better able to handle bugs as many players dont want to be hassled by doing this manually and thus dont report problems that could be fixed
