Since we are in the last phase before release I will try to go through all the text files and search for mistakes. I'll post what I find in Pastebin and link my pastes down below, my corrections are in "{}". List of contents AbilityText AltarianTechDefsText AnomalyDefText Col

Agreed, I prefer the old version.
Same thing, says "Small maps require 4GB to play, you have 3.9GB available". Before I managed to play on Immense without problems.
If you pre-order you will receive a Steam key. " *All game code will be delivered through Steam when available. " The only difference is that if you buy directly from Stardock Valve doesn't get a cut of the pay.
*snip*
And in Elder Scrolls games I can be jack of all trades, master of all if I want. And I find that quite enjoyable.
I disagree on it being more dynamic. In the old version I could choose to either research one specialization and then move on, two specializations and then move on or all three. And depending on what situation I am in some specializations might be more useful than others.
Just a reminder how 'collapsing' tech-tree could get worth thinking about: In StarDrive2 specialization is a pick out of three options form a branch. The other two options disappear, but you could certainly trade-in the collapsed tech from other empires as well . Other option is to earn it by invasion of enemys colonies. It'll enhance diplomatics or overall strategy and forces you to think about a
Agreed, I'd like to have the option of researching everything.
There was an Elite Founder's Edition, it included the base game plus any DLC they would release for GC3, but that starship has launched. There will be launch DLC, free for anybody that already owns or will buy the game within the first week of release. FREE Launch DLC We do plan to release the game with free launch weekend DLC which will go to everyone who has already bought the game and the people who buy it opening week. It's just ship design bling (
Brad sent an email stating that the alpha version will be released on 30 April.
Not in the base game, but one day. Posted by Brad in the Steam forums: They've heard it from me. A lot. I can tell you how it's eventually going to be during the GalCiv III series. ;) Eventually you will train divisions of soldiers on your planets where planets are populated by different species so you will want Drengin soldiers if you can get them (or breed them into your own Korath). Then you take them to another planet and invade with those le
Found the problem. I turned off Particles from the Options Menu. It also affects gas clouds and presumably nebulas.
Found a black hole that is not displaying properly. Ticket submitted #CHX-625-95067.
My idea would be to tie the cloaking ship module to a strategic resource. You could have two versions, one that affects only the ship it's on and another that cloaks the fleet. You would also need a counter, I'm thinking a special sensor, it would also need a strategic resource to produce, plus a starbase module that could only be built on military starbases. The devs' concerns with cloaking was that the AI wouldn't be able to handle it and that they would need to make

I disagree, I like them a lot.
Thanks for answering my questions. Regarding terraforming, I once made some modifications regarding it along with some notes, these are for Beta 3. Others have given their opinion here . My problem with terraforming at the moment is that until Omega Terraforming it's not very useful, and I don't use the ones before Omega Te
1. Could we have a version of the Cultural Preservation Council UP resolution(planets no longer flip under influence) in treaty form? 2. Will you modify terraforming before release? I think it could do with some improvements. 3. Will we able to listen to the soundtrack using Steam Music Player? 4. Will civilization specific techs be tradable in the next beta version? 5.
