I have an Acer Aspire 5750G and play on the largest map with 14 opponents with no problem. Have you tried reducing the graphical settings? Or checked your virtual memory?

Usual steps. Check if all your drivers are up to date. Try to reinstall Directx. Verify integrity of game cache.
I too would like to see the campaigns of GC2 ported over.
There have been some patches with bug and balance fixes, a new DLC with mech parts for the ship designer. Besides that not much.
Well you meet the system requirements. Are your drivers up to date? For the restarting the only thing that comes to mind is that your PC is overheating. Could you check the temperature before and when trying to run the game? There are several programs online that can help with that.
Copying my post from Reddit: Death World (trait) - filled with extremely dangerous fauna and flora, hard to live on and difficult to invade - penalty to growth - bonus to defense Rainbow World (trait) - a nod to Star Control, these planets should be rare - bonus to raw production I was also thinking that it would be a good idea that each extreme planet type had its own tech and specialization
I understand it must be unpleasant to work on improving the game and see people be mad that their favorite exploit is no longer working. But please reconsider just abandoning the game, it's only been released for 2 years and you stated that you will work on it for 7 years. While I consider GC3 a good game there is still lots that can be improved. There are still errors in the XML files that need to be fixed, namely the UP resolution Interstellar War Fine has turn duration set
From what I remember the Ship Parts Launch Pack was the DLC only available to Founders, those who preordered or bought the game within a week of launch. So I think you have everything.
Yes, Factions are for the base game, Civilizations are for Crusade.
Quoting GrimmAG, reply 6 I think the pop bonus was taken out from the Work Camp in 2.6 - I haven't tried a slaver yet though so not sure. The change log for 2.6 said it was taken out, but I started a new game under 2.6 as a slaver and it was still there.
I think the Diplomatic Corps improvement should be one per player, instead of one per galaxy.
It means it is a specialization tech.
Started a new game for the patch. Ludicrous size, planets and habitable planets set to rare, playing as the Altarians. First colonizable planet I discover is a precursor world and there is a Drengin colony ship next to it, my survey vessel has weapons, their colony ship doesn't. I declare war and eventually grab the world. I am winning the war, but I won't be able to invade without transports and it will take a while to research planetary invasion. I am happy so see the AI building mu
The govern screen gets the Crusade UI but again, no citizens. Instead, you have the Production Wheel which magnifies what planets are focusing on. In a future Crusade update, we're going to make one of the player abilities be to be able to govern with the production wheel but lose the benefit of citizens (i.e. looking at you robot people!)
While that might add some asymmetry to the civs, I don't think gaining the wheel is worth loo
You promote administrators to ministers, thus freeing up some slots and getting some more administration points.
All these suggestions are for Crusade. 1. The Dread Lords could use a buff, they are not as dangerous as they were in GC2. Also looking in their file I see they use the old tech tree rather than the new one. 2. The UP resolution Interstellar War Fine lasts for 0 turns. Also I think we should have access to all unlocked resolutions as chairman not 3 random ones. And defying a vote should invalided the resolution but the civs that defied should just leave the UP. 3.
Train Legion creates one for the general pool. Garrison Legion puts it on the planet.
https://forums.ashesofthesingularity.com/484142/page/1/ They release these every month or 2. 2.4 just became an opt-in patch on Steam. Official release at the end of the month.
Wrong game, this is about GC3. Brad posted a new dev journal .
On the old wiki there are a few things, except portraits. Another way is to look in the folder Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\data\Game for the file FactionDefs.xml, it has the data for all civs, including minors. While in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Galactic Civilizations III\data\English\Text the file FactionText.xml has all the text for
Try restarting Steam. Edit: If that doesn't work create a support ticket and attach the file generated by the support tool.
Just a question, don't know whether this is a bug yet: I got offered a Research Treaty and took it, but I can nowhere see the effects of it. Do I miss something or is this a UI problem?
I once saw the effects of a treaty on a colony's screen, look at research and it should show a bonus with the name of the civ from which you got the treaty.
Hmmm...can you confirm what the achievement is called for creating a custom faction? I just did that and it didn't unlock? New achievements: Recruiter - Train your first citizen Join the Resistance - win as Terran Resistance Rock Eater - win as Onyx Hive Gloriously
