No.
now survey ships are not needed!
You are wrong, especially because new anomalies spawn during the game.
- no protected anomalies, absolutely no one, so no more big money (why should they in the economic game?) there are no free resources, no more research points
You are wrong. Do you have the Avast anti-virus? Some users have experienced it blocking Crusade from installing.
Posted by Yarlen on the Steam forums:
The base game was patched also to support Crusade.
Yes, Crusade has its own XML files. They are located in Galactic Civilizations III\DLC\EXP2_Crusade\Game
Is Crusade supposed to be $20?
Yes.
In fact, Stardock ran a Founders beta for Mercs through Steam last year without any issues.
Not really, from what I remember someone posted the password to access the beta outside the Founders forum.
You guys might want to modify the traits of the new civs, currently they all have the same traits. Would it be a valid strategy to send citizens on a colony for them to level up and then recall them so they could work for the government and have a bigger empire-wide bonus due to their higher level?
2) Also on the planet governance screen, can you state somewhere what are the key properties of this planet (toxic, good for researc
Joined, name Rhonin.
Finally received it. When it says that this month is the last chance to enter the Star Control founders program does it mean March? Because if so that is not a lot of time for a warning.
Why are even having this discussion? The new amoeba civilization is called Slyne. "Meet the members of the Terran Resistance, lurk deep within the bowels of the living rock of asteroids as the new Onyx Hive faction, or look down on other primitive races as the cybernetic space amoebas, the Slyne."
Sovereign. You can transform your Commander into a Sovereign who will convert a target enemy fleet into belonging to the League of Non-aligned worlds . You lose the Commander, but it's a great way to take out a huge enemy fleet at a lower cost.
What exactly is this League?
A thought occurred to me. What happens to a citizen that is on a colony that gets culture flipped or invaded?
Noone jumped on that screenie that is showing the resource bar on top? It seems there is a "food" resource? I mean there's a small symbol looking like a green apple, what else would that be....
It was stated that food is now an empire resource, rather than just per planet. And a new improvement, cities, will determine the amount of pop per planet.
Canceling the open borders treaty won't do much. Although to cancel a treaty go to diplomacy and then the treaties page. You're best bet would be to either but the colony ship from them, ask them to remove their ships from your space or use a constructor and build a culture starbase near the planet. Seeing as it is in your influence it would probably not take too long to culture flip.
Also obviously the game is very far along so not much new will be added that wasn't originally planned. But here is hoping that the tech trees/techs will get a pass/added to. Playing with basically the same research grind for years is not as fun as getting new toys to play with in expansions. Would love for them to be longer and have more cool uniqueish stuff, as much as galciv2 seemed grindy i liked how there was just more to
What stood out to me was this: "GalCiv2 sold three million copies in its lifetime" Very impressive for GC2.
The Terran Resistance is probably those that weren't on Terra or entered the pocket dimension. The ones that were led by Jenna Casey and have been fighting against the Drengin.
Brad, I don't know if you realized this or not, but some of us purchased the DLC maps once Escalation was announced with no intention of ever playing them in Ashes Vanilla. Personally I just wanted them for Escalation. I'm beginning to wonder if that was a dumb thing to do? I wonder if I miscalculated what this was all about and the goals of the new game. Is there even an ETA on any of the paid maps being avail
Another great idea. I dislike that if you vote no you leave the UP. I would rather it just prevents the item from going into effect.
A civ does not leave the UP for voting No. It leaves the UP when vetoing a resolution that passes. Though I dislike that the resolution doesn't take affect if it is vetoed. Regar
Now when you locate a Bazaar you have instant access to purchase mercenaries available in that game. I suggest that the Bazaar should be split into multiple bazaars each with a different selection of ships, of course they wouldn't each have 5 ships per age. Maybe some would have ships from a single age. In the main Bazaar menu you would see all the bazaars and click on the one you want to purchase from. Perhaps mercenary ships would spawn at the bazaar they were purchased
Right now a defense offer no protection against a weapon it's not good. In GC2 they would offer 50%, for example 50% of a ship's armor would defend against laser damage. I think this should be brought back.
A think some of the Mega Events could use a boost, as they aren't disruptive enough. 1) Pirate Colony. This one isn't much of a threat and is easy to concur. I think that what this should do is essentially unite the pirates into a major faction where all pirate starbases start to generate influence and can build asteroid mines, perhaps at a reduced price, to give a boost to the pirate colony. 2) Dread Lords. Depending on where they spawn they can be a threat or a minor
