IIRC. Aquatic worlds have a -50% Raw Production penalty. Otherwise function as normal. There are no Torians in the base game. They come in the (Mercenaries?) DLC. I build Colonial Banks all over the place. But then, I'm not playing 2.6.
DMF
https://forums.galciv3.com/485168/page/1/#3690292 The right direction, I hope. I haven't tried it yet.
-Lclick? That's for a bounded select. I use -Lclick, as in the individual additive selection. Both have been with us since graphic UIs were invented. (Yes, I was there.) elebron, let me guess that you're a relatively young guy, grown on phones?
Is that to tie it more directly to the number of tile, i.e. planet quality? Ultimately, how is that different from +10%? The effects stack, but at a progressive rate.
AHA! I've finally figured it out! One of the pages of the list area below the mini-map is Rally Points with the icon that Publius described. AFAICT, that's the only place to set a RP, and good enough. Thanks.
There was a little button in the command window for the planet that would let you set it manually (I never knew about a hot key). (There are no shipyards in GC2.) I still haven't figured out how to set a rally point from a shipyard. Clues?
I want to set a rally point to send my ships to. The Go To notebook lets me select from colonies, shipyards, and starbases. But on the first page (with the little map) I can find no way to define a rally point that is just a hex in space. There are directions for controlling the little map on the page, but no way to select a location. Nor can I find one from the main map. Huh? I'm playing the Milky Way scenario under 2.33 Base, which seem
The 1600X is better (obviously). However, the biggest bottleneck in GC3 appears to be the amount of RAM. I'm still on 4GB (64-bit) and it's paging all over the place. I can't even start a game with the bigger galaxies. I'd estimate 8GB minimum for good performance.
Well, I finally saw last week's episode, #5. I liked it. The Mr. Potatohead gag was hilarious (as was, in a twisted way, the counter-gag). But best of all, a new twist on a time paradox story. One story hole: during the cat fight Ilara just stood there and watched. My major problem is that it's on opposite one of my favorite PBS shows...
Look, I said as much above but it garnered no comment. If you would stop proposing "the next upgrade" and instead propose the "next version" (e.g. GC4) you could go through alpha and beta phases to get the balance right before asking existing players, who have spent so much time and effort to dope out the secret rules, to evaluate the non-result, leaving you (us) free to experiment and get it right. I don't know how
These were suggested elsewhere but I'll echo them here. * Designer focus control * Put a flyover on the current choice for ship role in the Designer save dialog. The flyovers already exist, but aren't displayed on the one screen that you actually need to know them. * Place a logo and name of the civ somewhere on the diplomatic negotiation screen(s). What civ is President Argle Bargle representing? <s
These observations are from the Milky Way Scenario: One thing that makes me nuts is the unclear descriptions of what certain things do. For instance: * Cash an Ideology packet for an improvement. Is it One-per-Player, or One-per-Planet? * Oboy! Three defensive ships per planet! Wanna know what the maintenance bill will be? * UP proposal: "Should all wars end?" Did you notice that if it passes there will be no way ever to have war again (
lyssailcor, please provide a link to your old post. I'd like to see your suggestions. Here you go: Ground invasion demo
Here's the demo itself. http://www.jrcse.de/Ground_Invasion.html It doesn't seem to completely work
Yes, I got a 500 error on another post. This one worked, but it would be nice to apply it on the post that actually earning it. SD?
UNLOCKCAMPAIGNS is not listed as a command in the Help list. Not does 'help unlockcampaigns' yield a response. Have you tried it recently? (I'm on 2.33)
There are few things I hate more than a Jagged Knife event.

Hmm. In GC3 I do cut down from the default 2.5, but 0.5? I'll have to check it out. Starting with 5 pop is flying the face of reality! There are much more that that now on Earth, with some predicting a stable pop of somewhere north of 10B, perhaps 15B.
How do these mods affect the Metaverse?
Dude, the readme should tell me how to deploy it.
God bless you, sir! (Assuming that it works.) This little annoyance pokes me every time I look at a planet surface.
For ground invasions, I don't really have any new inventive ideas, which is why I wanted to see those of lyssailcor. But recalling GC2, I think there are two things missing. First is, we have no (or very little) idea how strong the target is in terms of abilities. One could discover those by espionage; not so in GC3. Second, RNGesus was right out front. It was like waiting for the GM to roll them dice - "You need a 11 or better." The odds were rough
If there is I haven't found it. There might be a way using the console, but I haven't learned it well enough to say how. And of course it might poison the game for the Metaverse.
