Still crashing today. Messages in debug.err are different though, so maybe there's no clues there. Is there any automated crash reporting? The new game I started on beta 3.0 is getting non-repeatable CTD, always when I hit the turn button. The last few lines of the latest crash's degug.err are as follows: Debug Message: - Ending Turn 174 - Debug Message: Current Memory Usage: 1466744 KB Debug Message: Cities in World: 28 Debug Message: Units in World: 1895 Debug Message: Warning, tile design K_Conclave_02 now has 107 objects when it used to have 100 DebugMessage:&nbs
Did a new battle map get added to the 3.0 update as well?
I saw that map for the first time on 3.0 as well, but I can't say whether it's from 3.0 because I also installed the Battlegrounds, Dead World, and Leader DLCs before starting that game.
Finished the game I had started before the update, managed to grab that one last Steam achievement I was missing. Now I'm starting a new game to see all the new quests.
I could be wrong, but I do think that is how it has always worked.
Thanks, that could well be, it's been years and years since I played.

Ah yes, Pumpkin Spice, born this day to a greengrocer in Shropshire. Striaght out of school she joined Sporty, Scary, Baby, Ginger, and Posh to form the iconic group The Spice Girls! Happy Birthday, Pumpkin!
The space bar is not acting as "Pass" like it's supposed to. If there are more fixes going in, perhaps someone could take a look? Thanks. Edit: Please ignore this. I was seeing that the space bar did not reduce the unit's movement to 0, but had not noticed that the turn button does turn green. So it does work, just not like I thought.
I purchased the 3 DLC that I didn't already have and started a new game. Besides my own ineptitude (mostly from not playing the game for years) the only oddity I've noticed is that I was supposed to receive a new hero at 50 fame, and I didn't. I'm at 55 fame now and the tooltip says I'll get my next one at 100 fame. I currently have my sovereign and 2 heroes. I have trained a couple of henchmen, do they count against the count of heroes? Is that a bug? Thanks.
There are a few files that get customized on install, so getting up to 4 files failing verify is normal. Sorry I can't help you otherwise, I'm sure someone from Stardock will respond.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a new update coming!
As was I. Currently playing AoW3 to get my fantasy 4X fix, but would like to try FE again.
Whether the planets disappear or not on surrender is one of the game settings. The default is to make them disappear. I've made sure to change that setting.
I agree it's a worthy successor to MoO2. I've played it for about 80 hours according to Steam, and it's a fun game, but for some reason it hasn't sucked me in like GC does.
This sounds fantastic. Hopefully I can be home in a week with a functional laptop so I can help with the alpha.
Hey, Las Vegas is open for business, why don't they hold it there?
This sounds really interesting. Especially if, as is implied, benevolent and evil types can have different ways of influencing loyalty, and if espionage techs can be used to flip other civ's governors.
I have two Amazon Fire Sticks at home that have Alexa capability which I have never activated. I am also unavoidably away from home for another two weeks, so cannot use the settings to opt out within the time window. If Amazon enrolls my devices without my consent I would consider legal action. I consider what they are proposing theft of bandwidth that I have purchased from my internet provider.
I like this approach. I'm also intrigued by the fact that we will need to deal with citizens who have different ideologies.
Being given a small list of techs that I can research does not appeal to me. I like having the whole tech tree being open for me to research.
Seconded
Love it.
Thank you for your modding. I hope to see you in the GC4 modding community.
I'm in a situation where I can't spend the time to watch the video, so I'll respond only to @tid252's comment. I played ME 1, 2, and 3 as a female Shepard, under the principle that I'd rather see my female PC's ass as she's running around in 3rd person, and the conclusion to 3 was definitely a disappointment to me.
I have some nostalgia for squares, but I think it's due to my having even more nostalgia for GC for OS2. I think hexes are objectively better for gameplay.
There are times when I have to colonize a suboptimal planet because it has a resource I need. If resources are done differently in 4 then not being able to colonize class 1-10 might not be a problem.
Citizens: I hinted at this in an earlier post, but didn't elaborate. The study of human interactions with games shows that game events can cause the brain to react pleasurably with a small shot of dopamine. Level-up events like a hero level up in an RPG or a planet upgrade or tech discovery in a 4X provide these events. Citizen level ups in GC3 are hohum. Unless you're paying really close attention you don't even notice them. In GC4 if you could add some choices to the level ups playe
