Endless space has Hero Characters. That game is ....meh. I dislike the star paths I am forced to travail but it makes for interesting ways to set up choke points. I REALLY REALLY like our game allows us to move anywhere in any direction. This is such an outstanding feature of the Gal series that it always brings me back!

Why are those suggestions always bad things? Why not a 'Diplomat Bart Simpson' did a horrible faux pa with the Drengin envoy by barfing all over him. Unknown to Bart, this action was viewed with respect and now we have secured an opportunity for trade. You have 4 turns to make an offer for X, Y or Z. Anyway I would love more smaller events that are not always bad but not over powerful. Say like small percentages in trade discounts, fuel or
Who said we are going to have Characters?
^^^^ This, Wetballs nailed it.
[quote who="WIllythemailboy" reply="32" id="3469598"] Quoting trims2u, reply 29I'd go with moving the specialty thingies (the economic/moral/research/etc. gizmos that you create starbases around) onto dead planets, and creating a new kind of constructor which creates a "mining colony" on those dead planets. Such planets would have no influence radius, and could be bombarded (and destroyed) rather than invaded. Basically, just dump the bonus gizmos from space, and put them on d
Ok, that is fine. But destroying the planet seems an easy win for a human player. Just rush in with your armada and set your little Doctors to unzip and viola no more planets! Seems too easy for this kind of game. I am just saying balance this out against a human player abusing it.
Cool, I can still get in on the Alpha!
Which I think you should. However the AI gets to do it as well, (once you open that door.)
After reading the thread on Dead Planets I noticed many who like the idea of simply destroying entire species and using burn all policy. I think we should have this in game but tie it to things like diplomacy. For starters, Planet killers or whatever you call it or such are not enabled by default for the AI, the player has to do it first. Once that choice is made the Player suffers awful diplomo penalties for such an act (see Babylon 5). Also a check should be made on p
This is very cool, thanks for posting!
lol, Paragon, yea it sure feels that way.
11th, I am a serious gamer, how dare you suggest putting lifes real world crisis before Gal Civ III (ok that was humor). I would like to ask because I am confused. Is the 39.99 (Founder) coming back where I can get base game for 39.99 AND access to Beta?
Greetings. Just a quick post. I see that the 'Founders' elite will end on the 30th. Alas I have had to file for Bankruptcy last week. Even the good price is killing me. I am thinking I might have to short my rent just to catch it... /end sob story.... <span style="font-size: medium;
My pics for all time... Civ 5 (all current expansions.) Civ 4 Gal Civ II Ultimate Distant Worlds (all current expansions.) Endless Space Those are my top 4x games I like. However I have not played Endless space for a since it launched. I also play Xcom Enemy within (Great game) and fire up X3 occasionally.
I completely disagree with your post and opinion. I loved the humor and snarky aliens. Its a game. I vote to keep all of it in and more nut eating alien space squirrels! Oh and Vogons that have sonic poetry death rays!
Lol, Jagged Edge. I turn that stuff off. No problem having it in Gal Civ III but leave us the option to disable the feature.
Farlun04, I think that is an excellent view. Wetballs, I respect that view, although I think that when I meet an alien who thinks everyone is on the menu his attitude could be banal and humorous. lets hear it for Humor in dialogue..
Thanks for the reply Gunathor. Still where to we ship the Tequila and Ale to?
Yes please, at least for the writing and dialogue. We need to send Frog and team several liters of both Tequila AND Vodka and few cases of very strong Altarian Ale to make sure they have a good mindset for Drengin and Yor snappy responses!
Well I am playing another game of Gal Civ II. Both APT and Autumn Twilight are great mods and I am once again losing sleep and being late for work because of you BRAD! Anyway if I were to add my 2 cents to any desire in making Gal Civ III it would be to keep in the snarky comments from various leaders. Although I have played at least 100+ games in the years, I actually fell out of my seat laughing yet again when the Krynn popped up and said....."Stop, Just please Stop,
I am worried about the comment on distinctive tech trees. I 'like' being a warmongering Terran. Will I be forced to follow only diplomatic paths because thats what we are good at, at the expense of weaponry and defenses? What if I want 1/2 Reganesque diplomacy, and 1/2 warmongering weapon persuits? I see that if we try to get all the techs we will gimp ourselves. I guess I will have a sandbox game of trying to get all techs...
This is an excellent game. It is 2d only and is real time but pausable and you can slow down or speed up as needed. With all expansions the game is pretty darn fun. Its makes up in game play what it lacks in fancy graphics. I would recommend this game to friends.
This is a good thing! Thanks Frogboy!
Ok, one handed spears. I got the map pack and i am not really fond of the maps that come with it. I really prefer 'random huge' maps with zero wildlands. Are there any mods that you all recommend for maps or just stick to the random generator thingy in our game? What is the patchwork mod and is it updated for 1.5?
Ok thanks for the info. I see Fallen Heros is on sale! As for DLC is any one or two must haves? Map packs? Loot? Quest pack? Thanks again.
