Happy 20 Years Stardock!
Larsenex
Greetings. I am a lurker and long time fan of the Gal civ series. My question is simple. Is there a date when the Pre order of Elite Founders pack will expire? I was planning on getting it in Mid December as an Xmas gift to myself (since my 14 year old daughter has no income, yet)..lol. This is not a 'When will Alpha Start' thread. I really was worried the window will close before I can get it. Than
Marvin thank you. Your mod that changes weapons, I cannot seem to find the 'latest version' on your page. I think I am just blind...
I hear the toaster gamers are crying on the COD forums.. Well tough luck! A stick of ram is $15 these days, my god - upgrade... I am so glad Stardock is taking a stand, and not wasting time/resources catering to people on junk computers. I am also very happy they are pushing the limit and not holding everyone back because of a few toasters. I'm sure pe

+1 here. This ^^^ I would also like tech research combined in tandem with getting a resource infra structure in place for your empire. You can have your choice of researching Weapons or defenses or Diplomacy or Espionage OR techs that help improve and acquire resource on class 0 planets, improved metals, gas extraction. Furthermore, when your empire has these resources you will get a bonus to either Tech research or Pr
I have seen pictures of a space-ram scoop that would funnel hydrogen which is then used as fuel to power engines. Used in this way you would not need a huge fuel supply. Although the scoop would need to be several thousand square miles to scoop up stray hydrogen....
Quoting michaelwhittaker, reply 23 According to my astronomy teacher given the conditions that make a earthlike planet. Mainly things like our moon and things like saturn and Jupiter. Our near circular orbits. Thats just a few out of fifteen conditions that make our planet the way it is. It really the difference based on modern knowledge of astronomy and wishful thinking. Oh I can find the conditions, but I'm not smart enoug
.....Some races will be better than others in multi player......(get over it) .....We are not going to cater to Multi-player at the sacrifice of the Single player game... Lots of good stuff in that article. Its not going to be tactical (thank goodness).... Its not going to be MOO! (again thank goodness...)
... Star belly sneetches had Green Stars up thars.....
Joeball123 just made me think of an idea on compromise. Suppose we have a game even that is (toggle-able on/off at start) where your ships have a random event generator picked for ships in your game and you get an event that says, "Crew of Heavy cruiser 435 want to take shore leave" You would get a message onscreen with an options to say ok and that ship would divert to the nearest friendly base or planet and be out of your control for X
I think the question isnt so much 'What I would to see', but more, please take the concepts and ideas introduced in 2 and clean\enhance\implement better. For example -Tech tree needs needs major overhaul. -Mainly the weapons\armor tech tree are not well thought out. Incremental upgrades that are so weak it makes almost no sense to invest in them, except that you need th
Can someone post here the thread on the Altarians? I cannot get the link to work, (Impulsedriven) and would prefer to just read it here in a thread.... http://draginol.impulsedriven.net/article/171522/Of_the_Altarians This link does not work for me...(sigh)
Frogboy, what game is that? ^^^
I personally would love an 'option' in 'options' to get a blind tech tree like the one in SotS II. You pick a field you want to research and have NO idea what you are going to get in 10 turns, say under 'quantum energy'. I would love some base techs to start but what you get in them may be weapons or defenses or something else. Going back to Quantum energy, you research for 10 or 20 turns, and after the system rolls a die and you may end up
Ah yes.. Fresh Slaves! Love that option, screw saving the colonists and new indigenous inhabitants...."Fresh Slaves'....yep I'm evil....
I am somewhat concerned that with the increased map sizes and increased number of ships (which I think I also saw mentioned), the processing of automoves will take longer. It already ties up some of my longer Immense games in GC2.
Well they are building it in 64 bit which will help in processing power. Also Gal Civ II was one of the few games to utilize threads and I imagine Brad will do
GC2 Civ 5 Eador: Masters of blah blah blah I considered Distant Worlds but it's costly to get it plus all xpacs for something that one hasn't tried and isn't sure one will like (not a big fan of real time) and many recommend or say that you really want all xpacs for it. I ended up playing some GC2 instead of throwing down. <
I do pen and Paper D & D but with rules via Pathfinder which is WAY better than the new 4.0 rules. When I play GC2 I disable all vic conditions except conquest and influence..
I should have listed Gal Civ II as well. I played and played and now I am doing the Civ V thing.
Greetings Gal Civ Fans! I am just posting here to post and up my post count shamelessly! So what are you all gaming today? I figure this is a useful thread as Brad and Co can use it somehow.... Me? Distant Worlds (all Expacs) Endless Space (base game, not much anymore) Heroes III (from GoG) Civ 5 <<< I currently LOVE this game, now with expacs and DLC, playing many hours he
Chibiabos ^^^ that is exactly what I am thinking of. Lucky, thank you for clarification. The graphix setting thing is a great idea, I use EVGA's Prescision X to monitor my GPU and force my fan to max speed when I game anyway.
Ill take Order and Honor for a Domination win across the Galaxy please...... [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Not clear on what you are asking Spitfire? My stardock account and credentials are completely different from my Steam ones. Are we going to get a code at our Stardock registered email that we 'enter' at steam to get our game?
