Yea, I did Occasional on all options. It worked out pretty good. Uncommon would be just that..not enough. I would like a tool tip when I hover over a resource that says, 'build starbase near, X Tech needed". Also do we have 'asteroid mining' yet?

Gaunathor, this is great but what would help is if I hover over Orbital Manufacturing in the tool tip it would say "Unlocks Constructors".

My computer build in case its needed. No issues other than the artifacts and horizontal lines. I do get some hesitation when scrolling. The lines ONLY occur midrange on viewing map, not zoomed in, nor all zoomed out. Greetings, First off great job! The game and its features are progressing very well in my opinion. This build feels like a game. Below are some things both positive and somewhat less so. My game is on occasional Stars, Planets and Habitable Planets with lots of asteroids. I felt this was a GREAT setting. I have heard no mention of the Gal Civ II style of mining stations at all. I believe that entire method of gathering resources is now superseded by the new way of planting a star base near some resources and it will now 'harvest' said resources ...all of them. I have not seen anything for asteroids. I would think that a star base will eventually harvest those somehow. I am patiently waiting to get off work so I can down load th

I agree, I would like a check box where all buildings would auto upgrade. Unchecked all buildings would be avail in cue area. Thus if I want to do marketplaces i can or if I want I can auto upgrade strait to Financial Centers and only have those buildings show in my cue. Also, I am not sure if i like the dual purpose of some buildings or how they function, such as 'Tourism' impartments/buildings/whatever. Also shouldnt Tourism buildings/impartments gain an

There will also be a drop down (I think) which will let you select either 'even clusters', or 'Varied Clusters' these would be galaxies with no form but a random distribution of stars. The Even Clusters will give you a smooth, 'uniform' distribution of stars, while varied clusters will give you 'clumps of stars separated by large gaps of nothing, making your empire either link up or not.

The last dev stream mentioned that the frequency slider is in the 030 alpha. They also mentioned that putting your stars and/or habitable planets to 'uncommon' and suddenly you cannot reach ANY stars at first, you would need to rush life support techs to get your colonies rolling. Personally I am really looking forward to this as it, (to me) is what exploration really should feel like.

Didn't the opening episode on the New Battlestar Galatica show some scenes where the Galatica took TWO broadsides of hits by nuclear anti ship missiles and 'shrugged' them off? That kind of durability means fighters would do very marginal damage to a capital ship. The hit points analogy is good in this example.
