Should I "really" wait for release though? You know I'm impatient. Also, you know you want me to throw money at you [e digicons]:D[/e] . If you really think I should wait I'll hold off, but I'd rather throw you money now while I have it to spend. I'll be broke again in a few months...lol. Edit: also yeah I'll be getting it from your store.
If I were me, I'd wait.

I would imagine that having a room full of people who have approached the problem from different angles as a huge plus, preci

It has been clear from the get-go that FB has never cared about, nor respected their users in the slightest. This goes back to the alleged inception of FB when it was tentatively called "the face book" and operated out of his Harvard dorm room when Zuck marveled that his fellow Harvardites would simply hand over all of their personal information: "They trust me - dumb fucks." was his comment on the matter. I'll be the first to say that I said a lot of jerk things when I was

Another interesting twist would be to allow the Minor races to have remnants of former empires. It would add some flavor to the universe, but since they're non-expansionary they wouldn't be much more than glorified pirates with a handful of planets/resources. This would bypass the snowball/steamroll effect of having other races start ahead of you on the exponential power curve (which I can pretty much only imagine that you would want if you wanted some sort of additional c

So, I couldn't help but notice that there is only one pre-order tier for Servo, whereas your other prospective upcoming titles have had a couple of tiers - the better of which offer a lifetime "subscription" to future content. I was curious what the tentative plans are for additional Servo content later? Obviously not a lot is set in stone, since it is unavailable for pre-purchase? cheers,
Re multiplayer: The plan right now is to have it be client/server with a migratable host. We are building a trusted server system (hosted servers) but will be evaluating early access to determine whether they're needed (i.e. if there's e-sport potential, we'll know during the beta). I'm early access and I really don't have any opinion on the above specifically. The bigger issue for me, personally, is that Stardock does good/strong launches of all of your games, and none of them end up getting churned out half-done because everyone was busy on the more important release. Since I've been pre-buying most of your stuff, this could be annoying. So, I tend to like the "it's finished when it's finishe
I pretty much abandoned Impulse/Gamestop in less than a year. Some games I was lucky enough to activate on steam.
You can activate them on steam!?? Or you just re-purchased them? Is it still possible to roll those titles over to steam? So terrible, with Gamestop, I stopped being able to even log into Impulse after a few months without doing a bunch of re-registering with gamestop (which I

It's definitely intrigued me, I believe I stuck it on my Steam wishlist so I could keep an eye on it. If the actual execution gets good reviews after the masses have a chance to abuse it, it'll be a for sure buy for me. It's still wait and see for me at this point - there have been a lot of builders that have sucked over the years, pretty much everything since SC4, as far as I can tell anyway... cheers, -ti

Well, if EA hadn't made all of this studio's games shitty, maybe they'd still be open, and I'd actually buy their games. Their old-school games are amongst some of my favorites. Their newer games are great, in theory, but in practice they're all pretty much crap to play. Too bad, but no surprises here. -tid242

The Mandate (beta will be out toward end of 2015, and full game I think by Dec 2015?) http://www.mandategame.com/ Torment: Tides of Numenera (IIRC q4 2015?) https://torment.inxile-entertainment.com/ These are the two that I know of that I'm looking forward to (in addition to the above-mentioned 'Pillars of Eternity').
No. That system you refer to in FE is extensive (that's not a simple thing to do), and results pretty medicore end result (as I say that as the lead designer on FE, so I'm not knocking it). For GC3 we have opted for higher quality (and much easier tech) premade images. You can mix the character and background if you want,, and we will provide a sampling of hue shifted and tweaked versions for you to play with.

Super Projects were one per civilization, not one per game. Yes, some races had Galactic Achievements that were unique to them. But they weren't technically Super Projects like the Hyperion Shrinker and whatnot. Mind, the concern about racial Galactic Achievements is a good one. But calling them Super Projects might lead to some confusion. [e digicons]:)[/e]

Techs will probably always a modding thing. We have an excel editor that writes out all the XML for us that we are happy to share. One of the nice parts of this is that if someone makes a few cool tech trees they can share them and every can place them as mods and then allow their custom factions to use them. But make no mistake, there is a huge amount of things that can be modified in XML, and if you really

Well, I guess what I was getting at was that if there are multiple extreme planet types, and the research required to colonize any of them is the same, then logically one would think that they should appear in equal amounts (so there's no reason to research, say radioactive worlds rather than barren worlds, unless you randomly happened to start at a location where there happened to be more radioactive worlds than barren worlds). Otherwise, the
If you want to include the hundreds of moons, Titan is toxic and all the rest seem to be barren or ice. In GCIII there are at least 4x as many toxic and radioactive (there is bound to be a radioactive planet somewhere in the galaxy) as there are water, ice and barren combined. If they mean cosmic rays when they say radioactive, all barren planets are also radioactive, I suppose, but somehow I think they mean radioactive in a different sense t
