That's sad. The alpha process needs to be more collaborative.
I think they provide enough feedback to the players and have been collaborating quite nicely. I don't think they need to respond to every thread or question arising if the community can answer that question instead.
Finding a derelict starship that could actually be used should probably only occur in movies. Could the finding of ships be made an option so I can turn it off?
Right now there are not very many anomalies in the game and so we have a lot of derelict ships showing up. I wouldn't mind seeing this event costing the player some coins to do repairs to the ship, full repair (-$$$) / Cheap (-$) / Salave (+$$). The full repair gives you a better
Hi all, Having a bit of a muck around with the map editor... does anyone know how to place a forest tile so that it is the right size for a tactical map? Not the brush size, but the tree/prop size... So, if you're working on a tactical map, you can click on the forest tool thing and place a forest tile, but the trees are way too small (like they are sized for strategic view). Can't figure out how to change
What do you mean? You want to make a fleet of starports? Why?
So you can set 3 ports to build a particular ship at the same time without going to the 3 ports separately. That is the only reason I can think of...
Where do I download the game game at?
On Steam. If you purchased it from Stardock, you should have a code to activate the game on steam.
I would even be happy if they set up some tags in the xml that allows a modder to set which trees a race has access too. I like the ideological flexibility and the choices you make are still good or bad. It's just the trees have different verbiage depending on the race. How they discussed things on the last dev stream got me to thinking that this would make some sense since it is kind of hard to choose slave labor from the Drengin, but all actions you take are benevolent.
So I was thinking that you are creating individual tech trees for each of the races. Are you creating unique ideological trees? Namely, you still have benevolent, pragmatic, malevolent. You could create evil race to be Pragmatic, Malevolent, Malicious instead. Where pragmatic is the Drengin benevolent for example (still keeps the benevolent tree with different titles or names). The idea is to keep the trees basically the same, but in this case no-one would call the Drengin "ben
It might be possible for one to do this. A house cat can interbreed with a leopard and a leopard can interbreed with a tiger. But whether the offspring will be non-sterile is a different story. So a house cat may be able to interbreed with a tiger. L
you don't turn off your life support in order to supply power to your weapons. Why not its not like your going to suffocate or freeze the moment life support turns off. Youre not going to need that life support if you get blown up. and if that extra energy could be diverted to weapons or defenses.
Life support is a very complicated system. Most of it will require a chemical reaction
The process you described is exactly the way to do it. You need to however start a new game and ensure that mods are enabled. So enable mods. Restart program. Start new game. Meditation needs a city with essence to function. For the sovereign customization look in the elemental Defs files (unfortunately, you must edit this file directly). And change the value here <SovereignCreationCustomizationPoi
If you want to change how much mana meditation does for you you can simply make an xml file and put it into the mod folder like this one. Meditation +1 Mana per Essence in the enchanted city. S_Meditation_Painting.png&l
SHIP DESIGNER 8. (whoever hates it don't stone me!) [e digicons];)[/e]
You were able to summarize that... amazing :)
So given a tiny hull... you have 25 universal spots total, how would it work in this system, because then you are giving it more slots altogether. So the current game initial is 2 moves 12.5 range 2 sensor To add 1 move at start of game it costs 16 To add 5 range at start it costs 8 To add 1 sensor at starts it costs 8 By your system you would start with a tiny hull would give basically 0 / 25 Universal (Tiny Hull) <
I'm not saying anything against it since this is Brad's work from start to finish and I go by the lore he puts out. ;) He made a fun game to begin with and I suspect that this would be a fun game to end with. I suspect that a DLC would be a leader pack and we may see other Altarian Leaders to appease the masses.
If I understand what you are suggesting is that instead of the base stats that are on the tiny, small, medium, large, cargo hulls, we would have access to create other unique hulls suited to more our needs. We raise and lower these stats to get more universal capacity for other elements? Or are you saying that these other elements are a maximum capacity for engines. In other words, you have at most 25 engine capacity, but as we use up the capacity in terms of engines the engin
The altarians are based off the races in elemental. There are a blue skinned sub-race of altarians. It is also possible for people to develop blue skin, so it is not far fetched that the leader is blue skinned. This has also been debated in depth in the dev journal introducing this leader. https://forums.galciv3.com/450612/
I support the idea that exploration ships having weapons. But I do not support changing the system. Effectively you need to manage the 25 capacity for your ship. The capacity is probably a mix of what your ship has room for or electrical power to run. If you build a scout ship with guns, there is not as much power dedicated to keep the life-support system running. In combat, you don't turn off your life support in order to supply power to your weapons. Also, it has to do with storage of l

I'm not completely convinced that having the same hit, attack and defense points split in different ways would have a significantly different outcome for a battle occurring within a single turn. I'm not aware that we can play multiple positions, but if we could then some of this could be gamed out. Do you know if the defending fleet is burning "movement" points while defending
I didn't know that tag. Would have been helpful know about this one sooner... :)
You can change that in the faction settings. There's a tag that is assigned to each faction that you can change.
To which tag do you refer? I don't recall of the ability of using more than 4 selected ability bonus options for trained units.
Yeah, after painful discovery you find that all units you can train can have no more than 4 SelectedAbilityBonusOptions, this includes the blood traits. So, effectively you can only put 3 other abilities per trainable unit. On the other hand, you can have lots of SelectedAbilityBonusOptions, if you are not going to train the unit but be given the unit via a spell or quest or treasure.
Well, I'm pretty sure, that DARCA is right in that a single ship doesn't represent multiple ships. However, I don't recall, if that was ever explicitly stated anywhere. Which doesn't necessarily have to mean anything. Unlike popular believe, I don't know every single dev-post.
True, single ships on Gal Civ probably represent single ships, but I like to instead imagine that they don't. Abstractio
You cannot because it's part of the warrior tree. Anything inside the tree of any of the 5 paths cannot be used.
Kind of what I figured. Haven't decided to mod elemental in a while. So, to get what he wants he could add in the LevelMilestone 2 It should have the same effect as Pack Tactics.
