A couple more tiny hull designs. front view

Good luck. Since its the weekend, I wouldn't expect anything till at least Monday.
Ah, that clarifies it ;) I thought you didn't know how to move the piece vs. moving the piece to another hardpoint. I agree that hardpoint movement would be rather nice, but I think with the offset tool we can get things good enough. :)
and I can't move parts I placed btw
You can't move parts after you place them? Are you selecting the part then going to the offset tab, and moving the X, Y, or Z sliders? You could also turn on the doodads then select the offset tab below to move the part after you place it.
You need to install and run the program on steam. If that doesn't solve the problem you will have to contact stardock support, with as much detail as possible. https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit
Once the tutorial or manual are made, the features are pretty well locked into place. Right now things are too fluid to get a useful manual and I think the devs are still developing and changing some of the finer points of the game.
https://forums.galciv3.com/452915/page/1/#3454320 I agree. The second reply on this thread.
You can simplify the process to get it to crash. Add Piece Add a piece on that piece Select symmetry on last piece added Select symmetry on first piece added Try to remove symmetry from last piece added. ??? Crash.
You can remove sponsors. Click on manage then it shows you a list of planetary sponsors on the bottom. Select those and then you can click on remove or govern to move to the planetary screen.
Here is a debug.err file for attempting to do this crash. (I figured it out and can reproduce it reliably now) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/75549875/GalCiv3/Beta/Debug/Aug16/debug.err Here is how to make the designer crash. (I use the Irridium) Go to the designer. Use a tiny hull (probably doesn't matter which one you use) Add a piece (I used
I agree with the shading. The 3 specializations I'm have mixed feelings on how it should be treated. I think having expand all or condense all button would be good. For those that want to keep them open and those that need to truncate the tree to navigate it better.
Seems like shipyards don't care how far away planetary sponsors are. Guess I could pop a new shipyard on the front line and the switch all my sponsors to it. Eliminate the commute. Not sure its good the game works in this manner.
That is the idea of the shipyard, especially on immense galaxies. It doesn't care how far the sponsors are but there is a penalty for long distances to the shipyard. Instead of 100% prod
Maybe, but I'm not so sure. If each weapon will be one attack, like in GalCiv 2, then that information is important for the game. However, I don't think, that the player needs to be told, that adding one Laser to his ship, will add one beam weapon to his ship. That should be obvious. If there is more to it, then maybe it is necessary to keep after all. However, I still think, that it is confusing to new players. Even I had
The size of this game is causing the planetary fiddly bits to become aggravating. Remove those 4 projects from the game. Remove the spaceship build versus planetary build slider. Have any manufacturing that isn't used on planet get automatically used for spaceships. Notify the player when the planetary build queue is empty and there is empty land.
I'm curious how one can build a ship and a factory. Wouldn't I
add a special military / shipyard item to colony production queue which make the whole production go to shipyard?
If you look at the govern screen, there is a slider that will set your ratio between civil (planetary) and military (shipyard) projects. This can be set per planet. If there is nothing being built at the shipyard the production goes back to the colony automatically.
Left click on the name when you have the starbase highlighted.
All of your ships are really awesome. It makes me sad because I can't access the ship builder on the beta. :'C
Why? You start a new game with a race, and select the button called designer. It will allow you to design new ships based on your current technology. The main menu ship designer is not activated at the moment.
Which civ are you playing? I find that the Irridium are pretty good with production (since they get a +2 bonus to it) It could be that it is the civ you chose. I recommend that you purchase either a new colony ship or rush a factory or 2 to get your production situated.
Because I like to make fighters and small ships here is another one. I've got to make a cap ship some day... Top Down Front View On an angle <img src="https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/75549875/GalCiv3/Alpha/Shi
Thanks, I really like the fact that we can switch the colors. That small addition, really adds a LOT to designing these ships.
Playing with some of the new features. A simple fighter design for the Irridium. (Devs, there are 3 options that say flip vertically), one will interchange the color pallette, not flip it vertically. A frontal view, rather scary looking.
Arrows would be welcomed to see in conjunction of the current setup.
The devs already said that they will add a "build nothing" option for the shipyard queue. Despite that, I don't know what is the better option: build a project like research or wealth, or set the production wheel in the govern screen to zero for the manufactoring but then you have to remember this planet because it will not automatically update your improvements.
