Good stream considering it was a first attempt. Really hoping that they can pull off that glimpse at the ship designer next week. Thanks for answering all the questions :D
EvilMonk3y
Has just started :D
Watching some dev multiplayer sounds good, have yet to touch it myself. Will there be some twitch chat Q&A? Also I think you need to remove the full stop at the end of your twitch link for it to work [e digicons][/e] Finally...my suggestion is for some sweet sweet footage from the early ship designer (you didn't say anything about being realistic [e digicons];)[/e] )
[e digicons][/e] Thanks for the hard work devs. Will give it a go this evening.
For future reference, it turned out that I had two accounts connected to the same e-mail. This caused this issue, but was resolved by support.
Glad you got it sorted [e digicons][/e]
It did, we are all set for release later this afternoon!
Very good to hear [e digicons][/e]
Hoping that this passed the QA for release today [e digicons]:D[/e]
If the current AI were actually active (in wars too!), it could be "fun".
I agree. So it isn't just me then who has the AI building ships and then just parking them outside their planet? :) They seem to produce and improve their planets and also colonize (not quite that intelligently yet... have see many class <10 planets taken in favour of the class 23 planet in the next few h
I agree, while I would imagine it would be pretty low on the priority list, some sort simple to use of race/character model creator tool would be pretty great. Understandably you wouldn't expect the pre-rendered quality but for those less technically inclined (like me) it would be nice to make a simple model that could use a set of standard animations and see them turn up in game. Backgrounds are separate pre-rendered layers in the in game files so they could even b
From what I can tell from poking around the alpha files the leaders are indeed pre-rendered in Bink Video files (must say that the full size versions and the environments look fantastic though, I think the trade off is definitely worth it in this case). Brad confirmed though that you can make custom races and share them through the steam workshop using your own still image instead of the video or you could perhaps make your own bink video 'moving' leader wi
Hmmm, I would think the game should definitely be in your game downloads ( https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products ) are you sure you do not have any other Stardock accounts you may have linked it to? I know the info can be auto-filled if you have other SD games. It may be that you will need to send in a support ticket (or get an official reply), you have plenty of time left for the naming a star rewar
Have you launched the game yet? I think you need to have done that and logged in with your credentials to 'register' it to your stardock account.
Am I lazy for not reading a few thousand posts? Possibly. Will it stop me from posting again about something discussed already? Nope.
Apologies...I meant absolutely no disrespect with my initial reply (which re-reading does come across a bit 'sharp'), totally understandable to post whatever issues you have, I did exactly the same [e digicons][/e] , just wanted to let you know the devs have i
Is there a closing date for this? Just I'm having computer troubles at the moment, so might take a little while to get the star name done.
In the thread made for it https://forums.galciv3.com/453185/page/1 It says around the end of May, so quite a while.
For the credit names am I able to stick in a normal and screen name?...so something like: NAME 'EvilMonk3y' , LASTNAME
It has indeed already been mentioned a few times, it is a little 'zig-zag' at times especially going straight north. The devs have responded before that they are looking into it.
Awesome :D Glad I have a bit of time to think about it, still having trouble coming up with something. Also liking how we can see the approved names.
Very impressed by what I read, especially 'SY100'...honestly didn't think that a drastic change like that would be implemented but really liked the changes and their implementation within the game. 'Id100' also sounds really great, loving the impact that those trees could have on how a game plays out, can understand a lot more why Stardock is considering it such a key part of game now. I was wondering what, if anything,
Can't say I had much of an opinion either way before reading through this thread, some really well thought out views here and much better concepts than I could think up [e digicons][/e] . Having played the game some more and having a think about it, while I actually don't mind the current single queue system at all and wouldn't be down about it staying there is something really appealing about a system such as the one described by EvilMaxWar,
When you launch the game you are prompted to log into your Stardock account which sorts it all out :)
Seems to be stressing my i5 - 4670K fairly evenly core wise 50-60% usage, the game does seem to be pushing it more than most but I am sure this is mostly due to optimization as previously mentioned. Would actually be totally fine (and I am somewhat expecting) some of the larger, busier maps to really start pushing it, not many games do.
Looking forward to it, really enjoyed the last couple of things added, very interesting reading.
Why did I ever open the steam forums...
I keep popping over there hoping for some good discussion but every time I open that page 9/10 threads are on about the price. I wouldn't mind but it is the same argument over and over again... people complaining about greed, other 'long time fans' (hmmmm) bemoaning the use of early access without seeming to realize this style of open development
All of this sounds fantastic, many thanks for the bugfixing :D Any idea when it will be live?
Many thanks for the reply, looking forward to seeing the alpha progress.
