I have been playing a lot of Stellaris and decided to come back and play GalCiv3 for something different and now I am having the vibrating icon problem (it never happened to me before). It is EXTREMELY distracting and I cannot let it go and enjoy the game. I searched all over the internet and cannot find any solutions (apparently as stated above the reports of this issue do go back as far as 2015). Does anyone have a solution? I was hoping to dive back into GalCiv2 but until I can figure out

Quick question... I am in the process of getting a new computer so this will not be an issue for me for long but until then... I have 4GB of ram and throughout alpha and beta I was able to play on large maps (and sometimes huge). Once the game was released the devs restricted the ability to choose large maps if you didn't have enough memory. (I personally didn't mind the small delay between turns later in the game). I want to put all the Star Control 2 races into my game. I am trying to find high res portraits of the races that are rendered more inline with the current aesthetic of GalCiv3. I too think the constructor/starbase system should be changed/streamlined. I feel a constructor should still be needed to build and establish an initial starbase but after that I agree that the starbases should be treated (somewhat) like planets. Can we get cameralock as an ingame option on the map without having to access the debug console to activate it. With that said can we get a starfield on the topside of the elliptical so when we rotate under things its not just blackness above?

Is the hide grid outside influence broken right now or am I doing something wrong? I like the grid on inside political boundaries but liked having it off outside borders as it made the game board cleaner. Also it seems the opt-in patch allows me to play the game on smaller maps now. I was having memory/performance issues. Will try larger maps later.

Alas, I most likely have to save up for a new computer to play Beta 5 and on. The game literally CRAWLS now for me. I tried playing yesterday and I had to stop it was so bad. Beta 4 and before ran pretty okay but now early game turns (like under 10 turns) take like 3 minutes to process and when I rotate the camera (at all) or zoom in or out (at all) it can take up to two minutes before I can do anything and sometime this can happen in segments right after one another. In the Battle Viewer, when the free camera is selected, would it be possible for the camera's center-point to anchor to any selected ship allowing you to freely rotate around it as it moves through the arena? Essentially this could allow you to freely rotate your angle towards your preferred action without ever having to be concerned with manually tracking the ship.
