Note to everyone, the missing Capital is just a mistake in the mock-up, we are not removing it.
I also wonder what we are missing with the sudden disappearance of this part of the gui
This data would still be around with pretty picture, but in tool tip form.
The magic 50% was coming as a bug in the ideology tree, this has been fixed in the next build. This is however a good bug report, because it shows that the planet production was not accounting for the ideology bonus, which will still exist, just not be give out for free.
Auto upgrade will defiantly be back, by beta.
It will change once the real invasion system is in, but for now there is really no need to charge, money is hard to get without trade at the moment anyway.
OK, found the problem, it was defaulting to the most expensive option. (which was way to high, and behind not even accessible by the player) i am fixing the data it will be in the next build. It will cost 0bc to invade for the rest of the alpha. On the bad side once this is fixed invasions will get a bit tougher. ;)
Post were you are most comfortable, you will get more feedback from fans and founders here i would imagine. Ill try and make sure i make the rounds at least once a day.
The zooming and tooltip issues should be addressed as we optimize the graphics system. Planet management is getting some major surgery, particularly the way the buttons work, so hopefully we will be fixing several of your issues when that comes in. Ship movement and how it is displayed will be getting polished from now until gold, but these are good suggestions, and mostly already on our list. Thanks for the feedback, happy to hear it is stable for
This error has been tracked down, thanks to the alpha testers, and should be fixed in next build. It was caused by multiple races targeting the same planet while out of range of the planet.
This is an interesting idea, and could be a cool modified on Approval, or even Ideology. That said the alpha Improvement cost are pretty cheep, buying improvements will most likely get harder as we move forward with testing.
We are still playing with the Age names, and even the number of ages. There are some good suggestions here, that should help.
Moral and Approval are currently not in the Alpha, there effect on the game has always been a bit fuzzy, and we want to make sure that if we bring it back, it is allot more clear what it dose. As mentioned above for the Alpha we mostly want war and growth, so hopefully Approval missing will not change the game to much.
The simple answer is no. It should not cost that much. I will look into the cause of it. If you have save that illustrates the problem please send it into support.
The placement of Planetary features is more or less Random in the Alpha, the entire planetary surface generation system will be getting a overhauled and polished in the not to distant future.
We have a ton performance of optimizations still in the pipe, so performance should only get better form here on out, hopefully Much better.
Hey guys, we have tracked this one down, and are working on getting it fixed ASAP. It has to do with compute shader support, so if you can update your drivers, as been pointed out, it can fix it. That said we are working on a fix for DX10 cars that do not support Compute shaders.
Hey, sorry i have been MIA, I wanted to get as many questions answered over on the steam forums, as possible, since players there tend to be a bit less experienced with GC2. I will try and catch up on the post here ASAP.
I like the idea, not sure if i would get rind of the current system, but it might be something to play with in addition.
Great feedback. Let me see what i can help with. The font code is getting a refresh, that should address most font issues. We have a UI sizing system, but it was not quite ready for the alpha. You will have several sizes to chose from, and they will address many of your issues, such as the Icon Size. <br clas
The ship naming is temporary, and will be competently different once the ship generation is implemented. There is method to the current naming madness it just is not obvious, but it dose not really matter because its all going to get replaced. The AI in the alpha is so bare bones it a bit embarrassing at time. we hope to have it killing you properly ASAP.
There are several bugs that have shown up in the planet features, that we will be fixing. The Icons are all temporary, and most of the Names and Effects will be changing. The features showing up in inappropriate places, will be fixed with the new planet surface system, which should be arriving in the next major build.
This post will answer many of your questions. https://forums.galciv3.com/452714/page/1/
Sneaky ;)
I welcome these suggestions, much better than, it crashes on me ;)
