Hi @Phaedyme, Have you tried this tool from @treborblue? https://forums.galciv3.com/499669/get;3801246 Note that it is still a work in progress.
I had the same bug just now… It's sad that the bug was still not fixed three months and a few patches later.
You certainly meant one year and three months. :)
Hi @PUREVENOM, There is a work in progress for this here: https://forums.galciv3.com/499669/get;3801246
@ darthranma Did you try it? Works fine for me. "Insane" map size in xml file corresponds to "Ludicrous" map size in game.
Hi darthranma, You can change this easily with the Tweaks module (Map size). https://forums.galciv3.com/499669/get;3801246 Here a mod to have 2000 Admins for all map sizes. Paste the mod in your mod folder: ...\Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade\Mods

The "Test Language Files" operation is okay. But the program crashes to desktop in the same way with the same message window. Here is the logs and settings folders.
After validating and saving the paths I get this window when I click on the "Exit" button: Here is the logs and sett
Hello treborblue, It seems that something is wrong with the Intrigue expansion. If I remove the folder "EXP3_Intrigue" the program does not crash and I get an error message. Here is the logs file.
Yes, the Windows message window is displayed. I'm not a programmer, and I'm more interested in the creation side than the programming side, that's why I would prefer a graphical tool to make the changes.
The language setting is english and with the 'opt_in_update' in steam. The program crashes to desktop in the same way with the latest version of the installer. Here is the logs file.
Here is the settings folder .
I uninstalled the program and deleted all folders before doing an installation with the last installation file (GC3ToolBoxSetup_Beta-Demo.exe). I also checked the integrity of the game files with steam. The program crashes to desktop in the same way (and with the same message window). Here is the <a href="https://drive.google.com/file

Hi treborblue, I got the Null Reference Exception message and tried your fix to correct the problem, but it makes the program crash completely (Technology Tree).

@treborblue,
@Admiral @Unknown_Hero I've sent you both a link to download the ToolBox beta The code requires ASP.Net Core 5.0 runtime. You will be prompted to download it if you haven't got it installed. When asked choose 'Download Hosting Bundle' Test and let me know if you encounter any bugs. Any feedback welcome.
Than
One thing I'd like to change is to be able to choose the hex where the mercenary appears when he is recruited (near a planet or elsewhere). In the game, the mercenary appears in a hexagon close to the capital. Would it be possible, by modding, to choose the hexagon where the mercenary will appear as you do with the use of certain artifacts (select the hexagon as a target for the action of the artifact, for example as the artifact "Nanite Transmitter" which generates a sh

@treborblue, Very good news. This seems like a good start. :) Count on me for the testing. Maybe also ask the players what they would like to be able to change, within the limits of what you consider simple to achieve at first. This would also allow to get feedback.
I would like to finish some of the tools. It's a matter of demand / motivation. If there is enough demand to warrant my time I will continue development. I haven't been active in the GalCiv community for some time, so I don't know if there is enough interest for mod tools.
Hi treborblue, I would say that for a modder more interested in the creation side than in the "technical exploit"
Hi treborblue, So, we are now at GalCiv3 version 4.1 and there will be no more Expansions or DLCs, and no major changes I think. Do you plan to finish your tools and maybe add more for improvements, tech tree, ship components, ships, citizens, resources, artifacts, mercenaries, ideologies, starbases, treaties, United Planets resolutions, governments, etc.?
My first game was GalCiv2. I play with the standard races, they all have things interesting to explore with their different "cultures", Altarian, Drengin, Torian, Arcean, Korx, Yor, Korath, etc. And with the modding possibilities, it's always interesting to play with their lore to play the game in a more "asymmetrical" way depending on the race played. For GalCiv3, I will certainly mod the game, but that will be when all the expansions and DLCs are released in order to start on
Hello, I agree with rap33042, the game has a lot of bugs and some of them have been around for a very long time. Some bugs may not seem that important, but there are so many that it spoils the fun of the game. Everything is always in the details and even if a game is good, it doesn't make you want to play it because of that.
What I am more interested in is demand for the tools. If the demand is there I will code them. I have been away from Galciv for a while so I don't know how much interest there is in modding.
If you have fun doing it, just do it. [e digicons]:)[/e]
