Can't wait to get my hands on this! The AI always sending one group of ships, then small weak ships in huge streams was never difficult to defeat. Hopefully it's better now!

I've been playing as a custom civ (synthetic) and can confirm that the pop is growing on some planets. It must be a pretty low value though, as planets with a population of 1 or 2 don't grow.
It's a known bug. Hopefully 2.3 will fix it properly.
Awesome! Thanks!
Not sure how they did it, but the Yor have over 6000 population on this planet. I sent 5 transports of 3 legions and one transport of 8. I used info warfare and core detonation once, but I could never kill their defenders! It even said I nullified their defense! At first it said they had over 10,000 population, then after a few transports 58.6, then up to this number. I have no idea whats going on, but I guess I gotta give up on this game and start a new one! <a href="http://imgur.com/a/dnSxX
I believe you need to enable "Show Starbase Design" in an option menu.
Thanks a ton! It's in the options menu on the main screen.
I'm creating a new civ with ships somewhat like that from the Halo universe, and now I was going to design their starbase and shipyard, but I'm not sure how to design them in the ship designer so that they will be able to be selected for the civ. Anyone know how to design starbases and shipyards in the ship designer?

Mine is doing the same thing. I'm going to try to find the console command that stops autoplay and post it here. Edit: Nope. The "Soak" command doesn't stop auto play. :(
Found this little tidbit when I was playing the new beta. I love this humor. Keep it up guys.

I'm not expecting to place in the competition, (though a thousand pounds would be really nice to help me get my life together) But here are my entries Beam corvette, cruiser and battleship resepctively (i've since updated the design a little more and added even more beams) <div
Hamilmac , those are some nice ships. I love how they are completely realistic. If we built ships right now, that's probably what they'd look like. Great work!

Many, many of the ideas here should be implemented. I would actually like the ship autopilot routes to be changed back to the galciv2 versions. They were so much easier to look at. The blue was familiar and having all the colors just distracts from the other visuals in the game. I want the game to feel polished and look good, not have great looking ships with very poor looking UI on the map.
Now that's BRILLIANT thinking for ship design. I couldn't even imagine doing something like this. That is just pure gaming genius with ship designer.
I heartily agree! This is why we need a good community! It makes the game much more interesting.
Well, you could use the Randomize All option to create a map until you've found something you like, and then manually edit it further. This reduces the time required to make a map a lot.
I wish I would have known this earlier! Thanks!
