I thought as much, especially as most were in effect in GalCiv2, but I wanted to voice them. Don't want anyone forgetting them!

I don't know how everyone else is doing, but I'm having a really hard time managing colonies and ship building. We really need to have some sort of notification as to when a ship is completed or when a planet has completed everything in it's queue, even if the planet is doing an economic, growth, or whatever boost. The thing I hate the most is that I never know when my ships are completed . I have to check all my planets (which gets old when you have
(3) The Ship view takes up the whole screen, and it's pretty darned hard to make it go away. You have to click all round outside the box to get it to disappear. Just delete the Ship Preview here. That's what the Ship Builder thing is for. I can gaze lovingly at the models over there; here it just make the UI less efficient.
YES. I accidentally click on a ship and about have a heart attack with this gia
This sure is something, being that it is still a year out, but here is what I believe will need fixing: 1. The text on the right side of the screen hurts my eyes to look at (at 1080p), perhaps because the resolution is not quite right. 2. I like the sound saying that my turn is complete, but it is a little to much. Maybe too loud? 3. Music changing when pulling up menu's is a little disturbing. I would like the music to fade when opening menu's but not change.<
Would it be possible to build a good box with about $500? I noticed OS (Win 7 Pro) and a decent LED monitor would together add another $400-600. I have friend who is a GalCiv freak and he is in the same boat: needs a new system -- he saw online Alienware units from $799 to $2499. Catchy brand theme, but I'm not sure about them; I prefer to build mine and help my friend with his too -- we have several PC shops in town

The 760, 770, 780 and the Titan are all great choices, with the earlier two being pretty affordable for their cost. Alternatively, if price REALLY isn't an issue, you can wait a bit for the "GTX 800" line of cards or buy a Titan Black. These cards should be able to handle most, if not all, games at their maximum settings without breaking the 50% usage mark. ASUS is a good vendor to
I joke, but changing the mess of sliders for overall/research/manufacturing into the unified production wheel (we really need a better name for it. The Production Palette?) is a huge improvement over the individual sliders of the past.
Perhaps the MRAWW (mr-aww)? The Manufacturing, Research, And Wealth Wheel? Excellent article though. I'm glad that you sent this out! It brings into perspective what this alpha is all about and tells people what to expect. I (and I believe many other people) thought the same way. It's good to clear the air and let people know what's up!

Can you say PLANETARY DEFENSES?
My complaints (and compliments): - I know this is the alpha and the UI will likely go through great changes, but I would also like it 'bottom' oriented, possibly because Gal Civ 2 was like that. The UI also seems very 2 dimensional and would like it to 'pop' more. - I don't know if I like the thickness of the travel lines of the ships. It is nice to see where they are going and how many turns, but Gal Civ 2's and even SOSE's were better. I like thin
