I was watching the dev stream and one of the things talked about was the edge of the galaxy and it's hex shape. I had a few ideas of how it could be changed/improved and I wanted feedback on my ideas and to see what other ideas people have. Paul was saying that he liked the hex shaped galaxy and it fit with the hexes that were in map. I agree, but you can organize those hexes into a square shape, or any rough shape for that matter. I feel that being able to manipulate the ex

Oh yeah! I've been excited for this game since they showed the teaser trailer last year at E3! I played SWBF2 with my friends all the time!

This makes me very happy! I had no idea that Stardock founded Oxide Games and Mohawk Games! The new Nitrous Engine will be a game changer and I like the hint that Sins of a Solar Empire might get a sequel. That is probably one of my favorite games and it doesn't even have a campaign! And it's Stardock's best selling game! We really need a new one and a campaign to explain the wonders of that universe! I wish the best of luck to Stardock and all who they work with! Here&#39
for example, you shoot at a star to produce a gravity alteration that sucks all the planets in its system and, after a few turns it stabilize to produce a mass of rock where you can harvest one of the hardest and/or more valuable resource in the galaxy. Ooooh. I'd love to see that concept in the game
I agree. This would be something else. I also agree with the OP. Using dead

It sure isn't easy to get parts where you want them, but you can make anything. I have a hard time getting all the parts to show up where their hardpoint says they will be, but if you take time to work with the 'OFFSET' tab, you can get a part to be exactly where you want it to be. I also like all the animation abilities. You can make it rotate around the hardpoint or not! You have symmetry and all kinds of things! I think the real thing that ne

So I recently bought a new Dell Inspiron 11 3000 with a touch screen. I then decided to install and fire up GC2 because, duh, it's a sweet game. I also installed Civ5 and tried to play it because it has a special touch enabled mode, but it ran at a low frame-rate. GC2 ran with flying colors, and the touch screen was amazing. I don't know if Stardock planned for touch screens, but man this game plays good. All the buttons are easily big enough to push on a small 12" screen and the game

If you think this is a lot, the Elite Dangerous "founders" club costs over $200. It's a space Sim that looks sick, but I can't drop that much on it. I can put $100 down here because I know stardock's reputation as a good company. I've been with them since gal civ 1 was first released and I love their work! I've easily invested $500-600 in their games and other software products from windows blinds t
I agree that notifications are missed, however, I find it much cleaner to use the turn button for these. I like how the turn button changes to idle ship or idle planet. If new ships were flagged as idle the first turn after they were built that would work. Then you could select "defend colony" or something to keep it from popping up idle again. I also agree that "eject" is a poor choice of word. Simply using "launch" would su
