speaking of spies 1) spies shouldn't be identified immediately in gc2 as soon as someone placed a spy on your world you were notified this should require some research or a cost to detect or something
-If you place a spy in a research lab, instead of nullifying the lab you can “steal” half or all research points from the lab each turn (there’s no point in doing something similar with factories since you cann

"Colony Adjacency Bonuses" does this mean tiles? or one colony (say manufacturing specialization) giving a bonus to another colony (planet) nearby (by shipping refined materials and such)

im not sure i like the comment on squarish shaped galaxies i mean it makes sense to put it into the mini map but why does the mini map need to be square? from my understanding most galaxies are roughly circular or spiral i could be wrong though wouldn't this mean that the hex shape is a better fit? if you're just making it square because the mini map is square and that's the way its always been done; seems like a silly reason to me
The real question is, was my idea really shot down or was it used elsewhere, I may never know.
wait are you asking if the hexes on the production wheel are inspired by your idea which was inspired (at least in by the looks of it) by the hexes on the map im sorry but it appears like the only connection between your "shot down idea" and the production wheel is hexes and hexes have been around for quite some time in strate
Don't be silly. You know what I mean. Here, from the dictionary: : something that is round like a wheel or that turns like a wheel So basically anything that is round and evoke a wheel for a reason or another can be called a wheel without any penalty in life. It is STATED by the dictionary. IT is a widely accepted metaphorical usage.
1 : &nb
Well it is still three sliders, now you just have three sliders in three different directions. BC slider goes Down to UP Research slider Goes from left to Right Production slider goes from Right to left. Just a more complex way to do the same thing.
maybe more complex in coding but much simpler in use i hated the three sliders because w
I think a game with a 3 dimensional galaxy is desirable and could have a great "WOW" factor for sales, but the math to support it well would be nasty, very cumbersome. PCs today just aren't designed to make computations on three coordinates quickly enough to give the performance we need for games. We may need another huge leap in personal computer hardware technology before we could produce 3D maps large enough with enough performance to mak
I like this, but how do you get the AI to 'support' your proposal? Is it just based on your influence with them? How much they like you? Or if their type of civ likes the type of proposal you propose?
much like any other trade negotiation prior to the U.P. meeting you should be able to trade cash, ships, planets, technologies, or whatever else you can think of the important distinction here is that your j

i agree with admiralWillyWilber i just got around to reading the pdf today and the first thing that popped up was well there going to make being good suck again this event was pretty much the same event in gc2. another option would be a supporting a resolution if through diplomacy i can convince enough other civs to support my proposal for a resolution then it gets pushed forward in the U.P. meeting or a pre-meeting where each civilization gets to choose a proposal that they want. the proposal with the highest influence gets pushed forward in the U.P. meeting

the humor in gc2 was awesome; and i want more of it. Actually now that im thinking about it there should be a minor race that tries to throw a major pun in every time you talk to them. to the point that you're sitting in your chair groaning just because you need to talk to them and are dreading to see what the pun is this time.
