you know I'm really upset I've had the last 2 Fridays off from work, i could finally watch one of the Dev streams live and participate in the channel and both days have been cancelled oh well 3 day weekend

i always noticed the "contains" line but assumed it was intended to be humorous
As was asked before about hidden or invisible components is there a possibility where I place 10 lasers etc on my ship but only have one that " fires " but still get the benefit of all?
I thought of it but paid for my founders pack fairly early on and doubt I'd remember the coupon the next time I purchase something from SD
For your second question it's not actually capped that's a glitch they tried to fix earlier you can get around it by pressing the tilde (~) button and typing in the command " turnactions" might have a space can't recall ATM however this will eliminate all warnings of idle ship and idle colony as we'll
The idea that you should be able to build military starbases inside other people's influence willy-nilly is just wrong [\quote] i don't think it should be willy nilly it should be considered an act of war unless you have a treaty with the person there should also be three different treaties one for each type of starbase
So all in all I like what I see so far and am looking forward to continued game development, just one question. Is posting alpha commentaries and videos on youtube okay? I don't remember seeing an nda, but I just want to make sure before doing that.
generally the devs have stated its okay dont use the logo and clearly state that the game is an alpha gonna go look for a quote <a href="https://forums.galciv3.
you know i never really thought about it, ooh its galciv they updated the map for hexes and adjacency etc etc its really cool and now looking at that image for ANNO 2070 i realize that yeah the colony screen could use a total overhaul and look really impressive i am a big fan of what you can do with EVEs UI and would hope that they make the galciv ui more flexable
On a side note is there another patch coming anytime in the near future or before the beta?
The big question so far seems to be about exploring all three and I'm going to add to that 1) why does it seem lke I am forced to make a number of choices outside of my selected ideology in order to get all the benefits of the entire ideology tree as in if I choose to play pragmatic why should I not make a number of evil choices to unlock all the malevelent perks as well? 2) will the ideology tree scale with larger maps? 3) will I need to choose an id
Wait so are you saying that if I playing, say the Terran Alliance, and I build a an influence starbase in Drengin territory. A base, mind you, whose sole purpose is to promote Terran culture at the expense of Drengin culture, that base may come to be manned and operated by the Drengins? This makes no sense at all to me. There is no way you should be able to culturally flip an influence base.
so you build your
Yeah I noticed it as well
1464 names so far.. Yoloswagulus Socketsmom TeSsElAtOr well if the first two of these make it past the screening im
back to the star port thing to me it would make sense if you could build only tiny hulls (maybe small hulls) planet side any tiny (small) hull with or without weapons however anything larger would need the shipyard
this would tend to defeat one of the primary purposes of influence starbases - namely, changing the culture balance in a region to prevent your worlds from flipping.
the idea was somewhat along the fact that a culture base amplifies the culture of the race (race a) that built it however if another race (race b ) still manages to flip the immediate surroundings and can push back the culture to the point where it would be acce
ensure that star names at least seemed plausible

Littlebear
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ursa_Minor at least one of your silly star names is an actual star name so how do you define what is silly or not although some of them seem a little outlandish and if it really bothers you im sure there is a list of actual star names somewhere that you could just replace the naming file wit

and this forum really hates quotes got the quotes to display correctly but screwed up the entire page formatting
Ships may move (and map) beyond max range if destination hex is within range. When wedge shaped area is beyond ship range, ships may be ordered to move to safe hex on far side of wedge, even if path takes it deep into beyond range area
a short jaunt across the edge should be allowable not clickable but a ship could go there i mean if it starts and ends its turn on safe areas it should be allowed
Survey ship, when placed on auto sur
A) Tech - Tech Trading. Each technology is composed of 2 parts. Part A and part B. Each part has the same value, so if a tech cost 100 research points, each part cost 50 research points. When you buy/sell a tech, you only get/give Part A. To be able to sell/use a tech, you must have the complete tech, Part A and Part B. To be able to research a tech, you must have all the precedent complete techs. Ex: You have Laser_1 Part A, Laser

well in gc2 you could flip mining bases and i would assume that would carry over further i think economic and even influence starbases should be able to be flipped however military while possible to capture i think should not be able to be flipped by culture

or at the very least choose the closest survey ship to said anomaly and "tag" it so no other ships you control go after it
not sure if this has been mentioned or not but when culture flipping a planet any defending ships remain in orbit since its your planet sending an assault ship at it will just have that ship enter orbit as well
