Even in Galactic Civilizations II, you can turn off the sounds (turn them down to 0) you can do this for Game Music, Special Event Music, and Sound Effects. So there it's already in the previous version of the game so I'm assuming it will be in the third installment as well. [e digicons][/e]

I don't know about everyone but, when playing GalCiv2 I always played on extremely slow tech rate, on immense maps to try to keep the game going at a slow speed... I would like either one of the two things... Longer tech trees with more techs to research in each race, or even a slower tech research rate, or something that can be scaled compaired to the number of habital planets. Thoughts?

Is it me or do both ships look like faces? Look at the Yor and the Drengin they have white specs on the top equally spaced showing where eyes are and a middle hull that kinda looks like a nose w/ a small spit near the front appears like a mouth :D
I think there should be a quick link to this on the main page?? Or am I just blind and it is there and I completely missed it :(

I don't think we need this argument about reality in the game too.. After all the sun is approx 1.3 million times the size of the Earth, and about 150,000,000 km/ 91,000,000 miles away on average. So could you imagine trying to create a game based upon the science and the pure sizes of objects of everything with distance? Once again it's a game, it gives simple representations of objects not based on scientific fact, it's just based in space. W

If you ignore their demands for you to leave their space, it hurts your diplomatic standing even more; same goes for if you use your violation of their territory to move forces into position for surprise attacks. And if you accept

Dyson Sphere (Shell) - Could this be added to the game constructed to either harness the power of the star (Sun) or even like in Star Trek TNG give you a massive area of population? Space Dock - Could this be a new type of station to fix your ships faster or reload supplies to give more range? Brown Dwarf - Hazards that you wouldn't know exist until you fly to close enough to feel the gravitational effects which may or may not cause you to run into it.</p
Stop being so critical about what is "real" and what is not. It's a game, get over it. Whether it's green/purple stars or sound you could also argue light/warp speed. There are many things that are not possible as currently known, are any of these game breaking, no as if they were, I hope your not science fiction fans of Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, or most other sci-fy movies.
