I personally prefer hard points as it's easier to lock things down evenly throughout

I think you should stick to one post about modifying game play, obviously this is an important thing for you, but we don't really need 3 posts on similar topics, all three could have been combined into 1.

Never got into modding modern games myself, it would be nice to have the editor be able to place bonus tiles for you. Even though you could build custom races, however, you had to use an existing home world from the in game races, you should be able to modify your system, such as you have 20 quality points to hand out, split among planets in your home system, this could be increased or decreased with race bonus's. I know I'm dating myself here, but make something w/ a
Do you know how long it would take for humans to build up a population of millions on a colony planet? Thousands of years, if ever considering the population growth rate of every advanced economy is negative. So seriously why are you picking out depleting asteroids as unrealistic. Galactic Civilizations is basically fantasy in space.
What you mean humans don't have the reproductive rate as fruit flies? come on I thought
Burried somewhere in the GalCiv2 Forums there are several posts from Brad stating that he was going for a trilogy which would mean this saidly would be the last of the series, however, with that being said, he's the CEO so he can make as many as he wants :) and change his mind as many times as he'd like [e digicons]B)[/e]
Planets with moons attached could also have a few tiles on the moon for construction of repair bases, or some kind of super cannon that would aid your fleet in combat in the sector or during invasion or increase the planetary defense strength. I know it sounds allot like a star base but it would be less tedious without the hassle of those constructors and could be handled by the planets social production instead.
This post reminded me of that time when i conquered Thala and was rly looking forward to the manufacturing matrix to only find out that the moron NPC placed it on 300% food tile while there was a 300% Manufacturing tile already.
The game would have to take place along a longer timeline than previous games. Even on huge galaxies the game time that took place wasn't that long-certainly not so long that one would exhaust the resources of an entire solar system or even planet.
Not to mention the game has been complex enough that one shouldn't have to worry about running out of something, I could see them adding something to the game in addit
why would food be finite? Assuming you have farms that plant smart and harvest correctly, this should be renewable therefore infinite, I could see you being hit by a plague that's eating crops and lowers this temp, or for a short time, or a drought or some other natural disaster but, this would most likely be limited to a planet or system, not your empire. research that should be only finite to the amount of technologies in the game, how is that different from Galciv2?
I've always been fine w/ the food bonus tiles, however, I do think if they keep something along the same format the 300% food tile should come w/ a moral boost as well, to offset the hug bonus or put the cap higher when you use those tiles...
Thank you.
It would be nice to add more complexity to this but how with out stretching out the game horribly... *Add multiple turns to invasion(by doing this makes it harder to conquer a planet but, easier to defend this to me just stretches it out with no real advantage.) *Add many ground units that you can deploy and battle (nice but stretches out too badly, look at the total war series if you fight every battle it takes forever) This is what I say... <ol style="list-style
Question: Is the Elite Founder or Founder package on a time limit where it will be only offered up to a certain date and if so when or approx when? Thanks, Sorry if I missed this somewhere.
I know this is a difficult concept, but the main thing I hate about AI is pre-knowledge of everything. In Galactic Civilizations II the AI always knew where the Crystal's are located, even if way into your space, where it would have been difficult to have known that, they seem to always know where the best planets are. If there is any way to eliminate this, that would be great, otherwise the AI always has that advantage...
hmmm... anyone know why my picture is not displaying?
As long as they don't "dumb down" the game compaired to Galactic Civilizations 2 I'll be fine, in fact I would love to see more depth in several areas, however, with that being said, have the option to turn micro managing off (governors) if possible, now like Frogboy said he can't make everyone happy and patience is a virtue and as time goes on, something just want to get done, and detail, depth might get left out on certain things, but I'm sick of buying a $50-$80 game and ge

I read it as Founders edition gives you the beta version only w/ a founders badge for $39.99 if you want the game it's another $39.99, if you want DLC's it's another $4.99 to $19.99 (prices are guess's only pure speculation on my part) expansion is another $29.99-$39.99 total cost for game as follows...
