Alpha will be going out this Winter to those with Founder's Elite.
So by that we can assume December 21st??? :P or more like March 19th [e digicons]}:)[/e] Okay I know this is a gift and we'll be happy with whatever it is. Just poking a little think nothing of it :D
BTW, I've put some early drafts of the Altarian's up along with Akari's theme music into the vault.
First off Frogboy, I'd like to thank you for adding new things to the vault. Now with that being said Early Altarian Concept, and Early Altarian Concept Copy are the same as far as I can tell that were added today, which was already added back on November 22 as Altarian Clay Model. :( But again thanks f
AI Exploit... Turn off surrenders making AI duke it out to the end, but the AI will still trade all planets for several ships, at that time they no longer exist, and the ships to them are useless and end up becoming pirates or split between races... For that matter that exploit is there even if surrenders are on. I understanding trading planets for things but never should trade the last planet for anything...
They mentioned a history page being added to Galactic Civilizations III, This was in the game in Galactic Civilizations II in the Civilization manager under events... Is it me or was that exactly what they were talking about at 30 minutes in? Maybe more specific or more in detail but essentially it's already in the previous version on the game?
Ability to upgrade a specific number of ships of same type, galciv2 gives you max or individual ship, or ability to upgrade until money used, simular to the mentioned above planetary improvements.
bigger does not mean better when you don't feel the bigger. You just have more space.
For those who enjoy long drawn out games, bigger is better, I normally start cleaning out garbage shortly after I go to war, so by the end of the game the garbage (alien ships) is usually only around their area of influence or there planets not spread to the all corners of space.
I'll wait until Stardock releases some specifics about system requirements for the Alpha. My PC is pretty old and I don't want to drop $100 to be an Elite Founder only to find out my computer cannot handle it.
Simple buy/build a new computer :)
I don't care how they do it, but yes I'm all for multi monitor support as my new pc will have two... :)
Again impinc thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind about the MB, This will be the first PC I've built in the last 15 years lol, I just hope when I order everything I don't forget something, mind you most of the cables you can purchase at any store but, usually way over priced at the local box stores.
Thanks impinc, I was thinking of a PowerColor AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz, 2GB, thinking that if I'm going with AMD, I should stick with AMD for the video card too? Thoughts?
Do I get a Steam Key if I become a founde
don't know what a "founde" is but I haven't seen anything about a steam key being handed out if you were one :P lol... Okay really I'm assuming like everyone else did that you meant founder and yeah what they said :)
Yeah but you always run into weird people (I mean interesting people) at those things, of which I'm included.
After further review I think I will name my star "LV 42" That way I hope it shows up in a 6 planet system so the sixth planet is "LV 426" After the Alien series :)
How about labeling based on names of galaxies... Triangulum 50k LY across NGC 1365 200k LY across <span style

Because Intel chips this year really trounced AMD EDIT; Intel is traditionally 'better' but less cost-efficient, while AMD is 'worse' but more efficient. I am building a computer, any suggestions for the best computer for the price using an AMD processor?? This is what I've come up with to this point AMD 4.0 Ghz 8 core processor Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB 16 GB Memory, 3TB HD Now mind you you can jump up on processor, for $50 more, give or take to 4.2 Ghz, 7870 video card for $20 more, 32 GB memory is $250 more, storage for cost is about the same per TB up to that point.?<
I think it could be interesting to have quality based on race, for instance an aquatic race might have a PQ 20 on a normal planet but for land based life may be PQ 10 or vise versa depending on water, Baron worlds for instance may be PQ 0 for aquatic race at the start of the game until they are able to terraform it to have aquatic area's and even then it would never be as good as an aquatic world. With this you could have many variations such as custom races you could set yo

Would planets that chose not to be in your empire also be targets, or would the AI decide to let them go their own way?
Anyway, they say that Galciv3 will be the most moddable of their games to date (think I read that somewhere), and if it's got at least as much XML as Fallen Enchantress, it'll be easy enough to tweak the research multipliers if you don't like what the game gives you.
I'm all for modding, however, if they have some sort of ranking mod's would be excluded from those games for "fair" play so therefore I never play w
