I made the maps smaller but with more stuff because I preferred it that way. But I am okay making the larger maps back to the way they were. But medium and lower are going to go with the way I like it.
Perfect, you're the boss. Main point to the post was just to draw attention to the points of posts in the past that stated that most players don't play MP by a huge margin, play smalle
1.9 changed the map sizes, made them smaller with more stuff in them. Is that what you have in mind?
Not specifically, Just a general post to bring attention that a lot of people may play those other ways and complete games or multiplayer games but, something is holding them back and that's why the stats don't show the whole picture.
I don't understand the point of this post. What do you want us (players) or them (devs) to do with this information? It's long and detailed, nicely organized too! But what do we take away from this?
Adding to the points of why players don't play MP games and, why it's not necessarily an issue with want to play but, reasons of why this hasn't taken off and why players don't p
Well to be honest my main reason I play single player is because I can play the game when I want.
You can play MP and still play SP when you want, for instance, erischild and I have a set time each week to continue our game, so we meet up then, otherwise any other time I just play my SP game.
Hmm, no reversion for the other galaxy sizes? . The new small map sizes are significantly less supportive of exploration strategies. My argument against the whole more people play SP or more players play smaller maps or even most larger game maps never come to completion are the following... More players play SP vs MP by 95% or more... First off MP was very unstable at launch which turned people away from MP, it has gotten better but, haven't tried more than 2 player MP in a long time, that is were most of the stability issues were with 3 or 4 players. Turn Times - At first the
I noticed in the 1.9 opt-in patch and also in the 1.9 official patch that ship movement on the map is very, *very* choppy and slow. Stardock, I've asked this in the past, with not much response, why do you continue to answer more on Steam and, less and less on your actual forums. I just went to the Steam forums to see that you have replied several times to peoples concerns about the map sizes there but, have said very little if any here on your forums. I know maintaining 2 forums can be a chore especially when receiving the same types of feedback, however, here is where you have your more loy
By contrast, the Immense galaxy in v1.83 felt vast and spread out, with the Insane galaxy size being that much more ridiculous (which is a good thing). In v1.9, Insane is pretty big, but it still seems smaller and inferior to its v1.83 counterpart. Has anyone else noticed this as well? If so, perhaps there is a way to change the XML settings to get back to the v1.83 map generation behavior?
[quot

First off thanks for all the hard work on making these changes. I look forward on continuing to play this great game. On a different note, I don't see anything on this patch related to galaxy sizes? Does this mean that did not end up getting put into the update? If that's the case thank you.

I have a comment but, it would not be productive so I'm going to leave it as this.... I know it's frustrating and it's a very frustrating issue for many of us, however, it's a known issue in which Stardock is hard at work to make this game great. This as well as many other issues I'm sure will be addressed in the weeks/months ahead. :) . Also I don't think you need to post this issue as a reply to the 1.9 forum post as well as creating it&#3
