A 2 will place neighboring stars close enough to share starbases sometimes(I think 2is better than3. A 3 will do it less often. I think the game would be better if instead the air could keep up. Is there a setting to change the research speed in the game yet. Auto continue may not be a good idea if it takes control away from your tech researching. I at least would want to know when I was done researching, so I could pick the
I have uninstalled Galciv III until the next update because the Technology system is absolutely tedious. I understand there will be a tech tree later in development so we can queue up research instead of stopping every 10 seconds to pick a new one, but that's not a fix to the biggest problem: 90% of the techs are worthless.
Sorry to see you go, this is a beta release and I would expect that the tech tree will auto fill to the next one down the tree after

Both the numbers of different types of planets and the arrangement of the planets (clustering and such) could not quite be included in the last patch because of a time factor, but it should be much better in the next release. IIRC.
I believe this had more to do with the frequency of sta

voting is based on a strength of vote voting... See below... Race A has 21% strength in galaxy Race B has 22% strength in galaxy Race C has 41% strength in galaxy Race D has 10% strength in galaxy Race E has 6% strength in galaxy So if Race C and D vote Yes and Races A, B, and E vote No Race C & D win.
echelion if you're around I have about an hour or so we could continue our game.
merry christmas to stardock and everyone else :)
I believe the ratios to be spot on for Galciv 3, I generally play Small map with uncommon planets and Occasional habitable planet. I'll be lucky to find 2 planets on the whole map, maybe 1 above class 10 out of about 15 stars.
For your situation, yes, however, you set the settings lower for your game preference, in my examples, for those that like habitable planets and many of them, this appears low.

Day Two, New games... So I joined and played several games, some with 1 other player some with 2 or 3 other players, in all I was a part of 3 different games. One main topic is crashing for everyone... This a common topic in all the games that you would only go through a few turns and the game would either loose connection with a player or the game would lock up, or crash to desktop. I did e

Echelion if you're around and would like to continue our game please respond.
I still think the higher end terraforming options should be dependent on a resource/trade good. Such as get 1 of resource x get terraforming option with 50% land, get 2 of resource x get terraforming option with 45% land, get 4 of resource x get terraforming option with 40%, get 8 of resource x get terraforming option with 35% on down.... Obviously there would be a cost involved as well but you get the idea.
I agree starbases defenses should be relevant and should work the same or similar to a large ship, or why even have defenses? Beyond that there is only so many defenses that can be added to a starbase and that's where docking other ships to defend come into play.
not much difference from 8 to 10 planets :S ,and according to the UP you the Iridium were 1st with 44%, I was second with 26%, You were 3rd with 16% and, the Drengin were 4th with 14%. So with that being said the Iridium were doing better than you and I combined. :)
Game start, thanks to Echelion I started the game with abundant anomalies, artifacts, planets, habitable planets. Also The larges map possible and 2 Godlike races. I am the Altarians, other player is the Terrans. The first turn was normal, quickly
