From a pure gameplay perspective this might be interesting. However, I don't think it will work from a lore perspective, considering that hyperdrive isn't capable of travelling between galaxies . Still, I think you might be able to create something like this once we have access to the map-editor. Just make a gigantic map (or whatever they call the biggest size) with lots of star-systems on two sides and
