I'm probably one of the few who played the campaigns and absolutely loves the lore. It's also save to say, that without either I wouldn't have become as invested into the series as I am now. However, I absolutely understand why you'd want to drop the campaigns. They take a lot of resources to make. Yet most players never touch them. So, implementing the lore and story into the sandbox directly (via quests or what have you) would be fine by me. However, it really depends on the impleme
I was one of those looking forward to more dlc, but I respect your decision.
Same here. Especially to those two DLCs. I really like the story-aspect of the series, so a remake of the GalCiv 2 campaigns would have been a great addition for me.

I'm sad to say, but there is no German version of v2.2. While working on the new version, we modders changed a lot of text (not necessarily for the better, in my opinion) which all would need to be translated. If I'm not mistaken, the rights to the German edition of GalCiv 2 belongs to Kalypso Media. So Stardock would need to contact them in order to make a new translation. I don't see this happening. Still, if the lack of German version isn't a deal-breaker, you can still get
I would prefer it, if the food requirement would be moved from the cities to the population. Something like 1 food for 1 pop per turn. The cities still serve to increase the population cap. That would make it much harder to achieve those high pop planets, in my opinion. Currently, you o
So as some of you know, I removed the campaign from the Crusade expansion. There were two primary reasons: 1. It was very important to re-emphasize that GalCiv is a sandbox game and NOT a story based game. 2. I would prefer to see the story only given out at the end of the GalCiv III lifespan and Crusade isn't going to be the last expansion.
That's disappointing, but I understand yo
No, they are still minor (i.e., they have restrictions which the major races don't have). The only difference compared to the regular game is, that the minor races now have access to more advanced AI algorithms, so that they can make better use of the few resources they have. Well, and some small changes to their racial abiliti
if they were already present than why does it state that this was added in Dark Avatar as one of the new features especially right from the Dark Avatar official page? DA added the ability to play against custom factions, and provided more options to customise them. However, you could already play as a custom faction in DL. Just start up DL, if you don't want to believe me.

Hey guys, I've finally got a response from Yarlen. Apparently, the delay was due to Stardock being very focused on finishing Ashes of the Singularity (which is understandable, in my opinion). So, the update for the CU will be added to the base game. Though it still might take a while.
