I'd just like to say that the Founder's Vault has been empty for a few days now. Are we getting a refresh or has something happened to it??
Achronous
I don't see another way to do it. Unless new planets crop up because of a mega-event and give you extra points. Only about 3-4% of players have got this achievement so far. I tend to play on smaller maps so I found not way yet to get these. I usually manage to finish two rows if I'm lucky and then the game is pretty much over.
I'm fully expecting the Arceans to return in the expansion and would be disappointed if they don't. We already know that Torians will be returning from the Founders' Vault, perhaps renamed as a resistance force like the Altarians. Perhaps the campaign will include guiding Arceans from their hiding place/ruined planet to establishing a stronghold somewhere protected from the Drengin and allied with the Terrans. During that the hidden Torians could be found. This is only speculation
As far as I can remember, you also need to have good relations with them as well. The treaties give you a percentage of your partner 's research, culture or production if I'm right.
No, I'm afraid that's the intended behaviour.
Perhaps we can have an option to send ships to a shipyard and instead of fortifying it you can choose an option to scrap them. Although that will require yet another click to decide between the two options. (you wouldn't want to build another orbital building called scrapyard to avoid the click -- would you?)
You might want to build farms to boost your population: the more you have in addition to cultural buildings, the less likely you are to lose them. Don't forget to keep approval high as well, it boots influence generation. Low morale planets are more likely to defect.
If they are too close you might lose the planets due to cultural influence. Depends on their influence and yours of course...
Just like in real life (from what we know so far) habitable planets are quite special. Non-habitable are much more common. You can always change the settings :)
The storyline goes that the Humans set up the U.P. as the diplomats of the galaxy. It's merely a forum to put forward ideas. Some of these ideas could be implemented, but perhaps as part of alliances and a different set of UP rules.
Could I request something? Is it possible to redo the Snathi logo according to the old, Galciv2 one: here's a screenshot of a communication from them (I found it on a search, will try to find a clearer one perhaps): http://s319.photobucket.com/user/xp194/media/GalCiv%202%20LP/Galciv2-14Uhoh.jpg.html
You need to choose a different colour scheme in your race customisation. I'm not quite sure which option changes it, but why don't you try it yourself :)
here may be a peaceful Alien race that is simply so powerful, it can`t be defeated by other powerful races, yet it has no wish to overwhelm others simply because it is not `made` that way. Perhaps it had so much time isolated that it became that way. Perhaps it exists in such way it cannot be killed (ethereal for example). It`s entirely possible for a peaceful alien race to exist which has not been touched by more powerful, viol
I find tactical combat irrelevant in this game. You win by deciding the attack and defence power of your ships and who to attack. You are the strategist (turn-based strategy game!), not the general/commander! Having lots of 4X games is good. Makes everybody stay on their toes and may the best game win (lots of people will buy multiple though!) and competition/borrowing of ideas helps games become better.
you can change it in the options: Edge .Scrolling
I use the same resolution. Please continue, I can't wait to see the Drath logo!
Founders get everything.
As he already said...
The detail doesn't show up very well in the map, but I think they still look good in the game. Perhaps more intense colours would help, but then they might not look as de-abstractified!
You guys are looking at one of the few Korx left in the galaxy. They will never be a major race again. I'll share the other major race coming soon.
So they have, in effect, become a minor race. Would be an interesting twist if they went back in time and were that minor race that looks like them, hah ;P
This is how they looked in galciv2: http://www.orionsector.com/pages/galciv/artbin/GC2_Review/korx_hi_res.jpg Now the mouth and the nose make them look a bit like one of the minor races (such as these https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PrbuwfmooOc/hqdefault.jpg )
I was just about to make a thread saying the same thing. Torians look great, Korx not that much. I would have preferred the Arceans to come back, back since they were bombed to oblivion in GalCiv2 they might take a bit longer to resurface..,
(it looks like to me if you are the last poster it doesn't show up) (edit:maybe not)
I think you've been too harsh on Naselus. He is only offering criticism to improve the game (or at least the game in his own mind, as you have posted before). You have every right to tell him to go play another game, but honestly I don't think he is being malicious in his criticism. When people love a game, of course they are going to make suggestions, that even you as the CEO of the company might not like. You are within your rights to say "No, thanks, that's not how we want it",
These are brilliant! I wish they were made the defaults! The Iconian one is beautiful!
I mean the galactic view. Keep the mini map simple is a good idea I think. You are likely not to see the logos of each empire all the time. If you forget you simply zoom out quickly and see them. You would then associate the simple colours with the logos.
