The Arceans might yet make a comeback I suspect, but only the devs know ;p

Sounds like you have some virus/spamware installed that tries to make you 'watch' videos and 'upgrade' the player. This site has no video ads at all.
It looks to me, by the 'honeycomb boxes' of the slider that there are preset values (although many) so it will be easy to set a certain value

I half expected Frogboy to drop in and say:"Of course you should!"
With my old case, which was too small, my gpu card could go up to 96 C and the the computer would crash and switch off. After I changed to a roomier one, hey presto, all was well. And I wasn't overclocking, hence my posts. To get back on thread, I suspect a five year old computer that was state of the art back then would probably run the game (as they said in the Q&A that they would like it to play on a 2 year old laptop). Don't expect to play it at the highest settings th
Welcome Ray! Thanks both, that's some info!. Pity about the hotseat, I was looking forward to playing with my other half... My handle also mispelt, but who's counting in a big family :p
As far as I know if the game gets stuck in a loop doing something very heavy then it will tax the system and push it to its max. If the system is already at its thermal limit, damage may occur. I suppose if there is a problem with the PC now would be the time when the problem would occur.
Overheating games have been known to cause PC problems. Maybe not immediately, but soon. I'd rather the game won't play than frying my CPU and/or graphics card. Remember the throttle frame rate box in the settings of GalCiv2??
There has been a thread on this board which discussed mines in depth. One of the posters completely and thoroughly debunked the idea that mines could work or be feasible/sensible in a space game due to the nature of space. The gist of it is: Space is just too big and ships will get round them! If you build more mines you might as well build ships! Edit: I'll try to find the thread when I get back to a PC, it's difficult on a phone!
Look like minor Yor to me. Perhaps navigation computets stuck to the ship with no other purpose. Perhaps without even the spark! :p
I think if you liked Civ4 and 5 you will like it. I haven't played endless space, but from what I gather it's not like Galciv or civ at all.
Hehehe, why do the Krynn like Christmas? They could make the Grinch look like Santa! I like the multiplayer setup, simple yet effective. Might need an advanced screen to set up all kinds of details though (is that the edit button purpose or is it only for simpler map changes??)
Thanks for the update. What is the christmas Yor.
Have a look at the picture posted and you'll understand. Woop! Thanks for the update, looking forward to it.
The important question would be, what would we discuss that we are not discussing here already???
Quoting Achronous, reply 79 It would be awesome to 3D print a custom design starship. Even better a model that of the Drengin or Altarians!! You think Stardock could distribute some modelfiles?? You have a 3-D printer?!? You lucky ma'fuka'!
Actually I don't have one (wishing!) but I hear you can take/send your file to a company and they will print one for you. Or, you know, for the f

That's great, thanks! +1. Even better, go to game catalogue and sort by price-> free. Add all the games! :p
Harvesting... Bring us the bread!
I haven't played Endless Space, but Civ5 gave me many hours of fun :P I even managed to convince my other half to play with me! I hadn't heard about Pandora, but it looks interesting!!
No there isn't, and not likely to have...
And I don't think there will be...
One thing I wouldn't mind seeing implemented is this: Select a scout or other survey type ship, then draw a square (or circle) around a certain area of the galaxy and the ship would fully explore that section.
Great idea. Taking it further, I'd like to see waypoints implemented (a la Red Alert 2!). That way we can implement patrol routes and informal borders ;p
We'll be grateful if you could keep us up to date, as I'm sure some people here would have a similar set-up. For the rest of us, it would be interesting academically :)
2. Like Influence victories, there should be an Economics victory path that follows banks and stock exchanges; however, rather than one leading to the other, they should diverge and become separate but essential tech tree paths to victory. The Banking techs should lead to Reserve Banking systems with the aim to become the Galactic Reserve Bank. Coupled with the Galactic Stock Exchange, and economic victory would allow the victor to gradually acquire the means to manipulate the economie
