The AI still shadows my starbases and starports instead of attacking the ennemy :(
I don't think it will help, but before submitting a bug report to Stardock, try to "verify the integrity of game cache" from Steam. Maybe something got bugged. I usually don't create my own ships, I use models from Steam Workshop, so I can't really help you there, I don't even know what these parts look like... If the refresh doesn't work (and restarting Steam also), submit a bug report to Stardock: <a href="https://esupport.stardock
I think the new patch resetted your preferences (it happenned to me), so double check your preferences and inusure that "enable mods" is checked.
Awesome update! I only have ship mods and custom races for the regular games, it should not be used for the campaign (except the ships, maybe). Anyway, I will try to disable mods.
I just tried, and it's the same for me, can't re-load my save.
I'm wondering if it's just that now, since other races are so good at building their planets that the minors can't compete at all in terms of research or if it's simply that they've been forgotten? In 1.3, minors could research a bunch of techs that I did not have until mid-game, but now, a hundred turns into the game on a immense map and they're way, way, way behind.
When I get on the airplane with no internet connection, will I be able to launch those games. Sure that question has been asked before, have to do some looking around. Thanks again.
Honestly, I do not know... But you can test it: In Steam, go to "Steam", then "Go-offline" and see if you can still lauch your games. For sure, the games need to be up to date (beta opt-in don't count, I think...),
Steam will allow you to play any of your games on any computer or platform where Steam is available so long as the game is played exclusively on the platform at the time of play. meaning: you can not play Galciv3 on your laptop and have your friend play on your PC. I think that if the game is loaded, it won't force quit, but you will be forcefully logged out of Steam on the computer you're not playing. In any case, legally, you can play on your laptop or your PC
I already found it, thanks - Google is very useful [e digicons]:)[/e] . It said it found 8 files damaged and would reload them. Waited half an hour to see if it did that but didn't see it do anything, rebooted PC and started a new game in GC3 - same issue. Planets in the right-hand window are empty circles, designed ships have no icon. Going to try verifying again - maybe wait overnight.
<p
Please tell me how to verify the game cache - not sure what you mean there. Or PM me if this is taking away from the thread topic.
In Steam, right-click on the game (Galcvi3), select "properties", "local files", "verify integrity of game cache..." It's gonna take a few minutes. If any files are damaged, they will be redownloaded.

I just don't see these AI improvements. The AI is just as bad as it was in 1.3, except it now "specializes" planets, wich means it now takes some random planet (no particular bonus) and decides to maximizes research or production on it, ignoring entertainment or food production and totally ignoring tile bonus, even if it would work for the chosen specialization.
In my limited experience so far, no, it has not been fixed. The AI is at war, but it is not moving.
I don't see how the AI fleet management and invasion problem are supposed to be corrected.... Still no invasion from AI, the Yor squat my shipyards and starbases instead of attacking their ennemies, planet development may be specialized, but there is poor usage of the tile&bonus system on planets, only from buildings.
A couple of bugs I don't see fixed and I'd like confirmation, if they're actually bugs or WAD: #PCE-990-45956: Technology "Tarrif stations" gives 10% research bonus #ZHQ-273-43956: "Sensor simplification" is labelled as "Cost +1".
Yeah, its unbelivable, that things worked in GalCiv2 are now so hard to fix in GalCiv3. This game is a major step backwards...
well, it's a different engine. And tbh, when I first started to play Galciv3, I was a little annoyed, felt that Civ V, released 5 years earlier was a better strategy game. Now, I'm replaying Civ V. And I can't stand that silly game, I want to go back to Galciv 3 :P</
Yes, it's a very good idea, I always wanted to suggest that, kept forgetting it, but I think it's been posted before. We need that info! :)
that latest opt-in patches are for MP bugs, if you want to play MP, I would suggest you and your friends opt-in to the latest patch. :)
I have to say, the game really needs fine tuning. Just today, had above 500 turns game(even close to 600), and suddenly Altarians surrender to Drengin, leaving me their "heritage" of 100+ colonies (approval down to 2 instantly!-playing with insane galaxies). The funny part, that although they were in war with Drengin, they had no actual contact (I was in the middle) and I am not sure a single battle went on. In addition the Altarians
The only problem I can think of is that I only have 4gb of memory,
could be it. The game does not seem to run very well, with only 4gb RAM. Although it should be ok on the very small maps. But in any case, submit a report to Stardock with a saved game exhibiting your problem and the support logs. It could be bad optimization for their game or it could be something else. The instructions are here: <a href=
All my games are like that. I've submitted tons of saves. The AI seems to behave differently on small maps or maps with many habitable planets, and according to some reports, at "incredible" AI level.
