Will be there another patch before final release? There are many bugs and issues in the game do you expect them to be fixed for final release in 3 weeks? Some of the issues I can remember now: Shipyards than remain from planets who had a culture flip remain there while they should have flipped also or auto-destroyed. What about color options? Everyone wants more flexibility for faction and ship colors rather pre-made sets. Creating a mod is not

Many comments against the idea of a Colony base which is something normal in other games.. Many arguments this system cannot work because because.. A colony base is not such a complex and difficult addition to game's current system, game changer yes but with some limitations. Everytime I get a planet by culture flip the shipyards remain there inactive and I dont want to destroy because I don't want to declare war to the other race. What to do with them? I can't ignore them all the time sometimes I want to build my own shipyard there and I hate seeing them next to my planets.

@Seilore Colonizing a planet next to another race's planet still possible only it will make them a bit angry. [e digicons]>_>[/e] @Spark026 I say why not? It's not only about realism but it makes things simpler. Both system can work. Shipyards send ships to far away planets and colonies colonize the neighborhood.

Why I have to use a Colony ship to colonize Mars? Even now when shipyards are in space looks weird.. Wouldn't be better to be able to colonize planets next door directly from colonies? It will be a game changer and you can keep it in balance since only well developed colonies can colonize other planets since they need resources and population.

It's true that UI lacks of usability and information. I totally agree with Uknown_hero. How come the planets represent empires? Really weird looking so many globes trying to figure out who is who. Why I have to see them in circles and lines? Want another solution? Have a window like GC2 and scroll. Too many? Sort by attitude/distance/technology/population whatever.. No I did not touch those. I tried with mods many days ago before I read this thread. And I don't plan to work with mods again untill the final version of GC3. I'm happy the way I have set things now and playing.. Although seems strange one mod worked the other didn't both in "Documents" and both correct no errors. Tried both total mod and Append method. Faction mod didn't work, custom ship color mod worked. One is the game folder the other in core.

I couldn't create a faction mod either. And "My Documents" is just "Documents" without My (I hate it) still mod didn't work. I tried many things it didnt work but I managed to create a small mod for custom ship colours for my race. And I had to create my faction inside GC3 files since mods don't work for now.

why don't you think about my solution I suggested before? Building upgrades instead new factories every time. Build just 1 factory and then add upgrades/additions to it better machines, androids etc. Instead replacing the old factories with new ones. This way you get a realistic way that works with Stardock's system

An alternative and more realistic option would be better instead new. Meaning for example instead factory1, factory2 and so on, have upgrades for improvements so a factory is equipped with androids and slight different icon but it's the same building only better. So when you have Industrial Sectors you have to begin buliding them but one level at a time.. not replacing old with new.

When I started playing GC3 last year and found that I have to build a factory level1, then level2 and so on, I thought it was a bug. But as it seems it's by design. which I really hate having to build all the old improvements when I have the latest technologies. It's strange and stupid. Gamewise some might say it's good but when I research the most advanced factory I want to build that one and not the old tech first and it takes too long when I have many new planet

an early report I was able to unlock all ideologies even Malevolent which normally I couldn't in just 1 turn. perhaps because I loaded a 0.81 version saved game but want to be sure if anyone else finds this in a new game btw the Bloodthirsty bonus where you get Overlord ships next to every planet you own feels overpowered! So many ships out of thin air.. it took me some time to order all of them!

I couldn't resist and played 2 more games.
