I know it been discussed but I wrote one last time just because I don't agree with old recipe is good keep it no matter what. Things changes, computers are more powerful and there have been many games old and new with better ideas. What I'm simply saying is staying the same it won't work forever. At least for me I'm not so excited about GC anymore like I was in the past. So many others will agree.

It seems that posting here is waste of time. First time I made a bug and impressions report. 2nd time I made a big post regarding a mod I made for GC2 and ideas that they could use perhaps in GC3. I hate tech ages too. Tech trees shouls be free to research any branch as you like. Focusing on an expensive tech means you don't research other easier ones so you don't win something it's just a strategy. Tech ages is just a bad idea, if the final game comes with them I will try to create a mod to disable them, shouldn't be difficult

I had a similar problem in first beta. I had a single shipyard and all my colonies were sponsors. At some point of the game whenever I tried to enter the shipyard the game crashed. The only way to make it work was to select a ship from quick build list and always postponing the previous one.

I have to say that I agree 100% with post. Yes I see many die hard fans to defend their fav game and yes I'm one of them too but.. let's all be honest either you like or you hate GC3 it's true that it's the same recipe only improved. It's not like a new game but rather the next version of it like Photoshop the same just better with some new extras. GC1 was great, Gc2 was amazing especially with later expansions but even then the game was a bit old fash

Since GCII I didn't like the terran race their ships and many of their planet improvements (icons). I have always dreamed and asked in GC3 the planets to be treated as real planets with multiple cities expanding over the time and introducing new buildings of course with some limitations, in buildings and population. I had the same issue and more. When I set to auto-survey it can travel all over the galaxy with no range limitation. If I try manually to set a destination out of its range it doesn't go there simply because it can't but when I set the auto survey slowly it starts to travel further and further by moving from one anomaly to another. Eventually it travelled to the other side of the galaxy waaaay out of its range. Of course I got so many goodies but it's cheating.

Just yesterday I decided to become a founder too. At first launch the game was slow especially when I wanted to use other programs like browser. Restarted windows and then it was fine. I know its alpha and I expect lots of things to change but here my comments. Interface: Im a bit lost it's so empty, way too minimal and working on a resolution 2560x1440 on 27" makes it even worse.

Hmmmm......... I have been playing always as terrans and always custom. I never liked the diplomacy plain terran style. My terran empires have been based mostly on research then economy, expansion and finally later in game the best weapons and ships thanks to advanced research and strong economy I had already. Never lost a game. So I will keep on GCIII the same style and I hope in this version Torians won't hate humans... at least not too often. And please

One thing I would like to see is starbases in orbit instead starports on planets. It would be more realistic to have a starbase in orbit. And it doesn't have to be something complicate like the other starbases just an orbital construction like in MOO2 with 2-3 upgrades for faster construction, bigger ships, better defense.
