@ benmanns 1. uTorrent yes we all know what is for and almost everyone uses it. Who denies it? 5. If you didn't notice I'm a GC3 Founder and to answer your wrong assumption, I said I'm playing Insane map size and that prob

@starkers: good luck installing OSX plus you can buy a 4-5k Monitor a question about your M.2 SSD drive. Is it good, faster than SATA SSDs? I have read there are some restrictions on M.2 on motherboards depends on what other hardware you have installed. as for iMac I've read I can buy RAM much cheaper with no Apple "tax"... @NGC7000 I have heard about Thunderbolt but compatibility comes first. I hope Apple soon will release updated iMacs with

Well 64GB RAM? Unless you work with video editing software, 3D Studio Max or other ultra demanding applications I don't see why you should install so much RAM. 16 or even 32 GB would be more than enough for most users. Use the money and get a 256GB SSD instead. Installing OSX on Intel machine is doable however there are several requirements for that, google for it..

As I said you can't customize everything. There is always something lies under the skin that will pop up, you will have to access it. I doubt there is customization for everything. Interface is just the surface. I want an OS that is natively good enough to use. Windows are becoming less and less attractive not only the horrible flat interface and icons but they lack of innovations that OSX or Linux have. Microsoft is a dinosaur.. And want to discover why all Mac users love their m

Welcome to new era... well I read about spying tv's and dolls. But then there is Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram social networks that milions are addicted to, they like to post what they do every day.. willingly.. And what about smart phones, browsers, even windows or other OS. You feel safe? You have installed some security software or you are behind a firewall? Today privacy is a delusion, the only ones who can have real privacy are people away from civilizatio

Well to be honest I never found a theme stylish and good quality to like enough in Stardock's library. The one I use now is Hyperdesk Darkmatter Subspace. Minimal, cool and nice colours. Not many stuff laying around except rainmeter's Recycle Bin and a [log off/restart/turn off] button. Using custom interfaces is nice but you have some limitations due to OS native operations. Sometimes it's unavoidable you will have to access Start menu or task bar. But

Thanks DrJBHL for your posts I will read your links. I'm gonna visit a friend who has an iMac 5k Retina and see the real thing and the new OSX Yosemite.

Sure everything that uses code is vulnerable.. I just wondered if OSX has some security protection from what I read it's at basic level. So I need extra security software. as for router I have it always configured to the best settings and never the factory password. [e digicons]:borg:[/e]

Being dissapointed from Windows 8 and upcoming 10 (9 actually) their new ways and interface I decided to abandon Windows after 19years and go to much better but also very expensive iMac with OSX. I do have some questions though for users who have Macs and they can englighten me before I buy an iMac. Windows is the most widely used OS hence almost everything out there is designed and made for them. I know I can install windows in my iMac but want to know if there are enough app
Save games can sometimes become corrupted, so whenever a new update comes along I tend to start a new game. They certainly might work, but I find it easier to start over to avoid any issues.
Well I will update when I finnish my current game then... [e digicons]:borg:[/e]

Like in a previous game now again Interstellar Collectors do not seem to be available, tney are grayed out. In 2 different starbases. Am I missing something? Is there some requirement? I have built all the other available modules.

Something else I suggested some months ago.. Stabases being able to move a little would be cool and useful. Just a hex per turn after an advanced tech module is installed. Sometimes you find that you could have build your Starbase in a better location for example to include more planets in its area of influence the only option is to destroy it and build another. So moving it a little would be great.

Probably game alters something because it wants to and as long it works you shouldn't verify again. Custom races are being saved into My Documents/My Games/GC3 folder not in game's program files. Unless of course you alter something yourself even a minor change the file will be replaced.

I have edited some xml files to create my custom race (I don't like the limited in-game option) Steam never asked me to verify game cache. In fact it never does unless you ask for it or probably it's a critical game file being corrupted? Maybe the game's .exe file?

It has occured to me too. But game actually crashes. On several occasions when I want to exit to main menu and abandon the game I play it just exits to desktop. If you try to restart it doesn't because Steam reports as synchronizing with cloud or something. I have to shut down Steam also, then I can start the GC3 again. It might be from heavy load of insane map sizes I play.
