kr, not sure - as it's been a while since I downloaded your races - but since they are broken up into multiple files, maybe a note as to which one each belongs to. Would love to grab one or two but don't want to update all files.

I'm talking about I have researched a new component, but not a new size hull. I have salvaged a Medium (or Large) hull ship, but would like to swap out equipment on that ship with better equip which I have researched. I want to upgrade (or swap) out a component for a different component.

Ok, it would be nice to be able to see the total defense for a starbase or shipyard including any ships which may be in orbit. Nothing worse than having to either eject all the ships see their total, then park them back, or attempt to count the defense/offense for each ship in orbit. This could be either replacing the default total on mouse over or could be a shift/mouse over or something to that extent.

This would be for when you "can't" build a new ship of the same size. For example if I have't researched medium Hull size, yet need to upgrade my initial survey ship. I already have the medium hull size I just want to add(or swap out) some components.

What would be cool is if you could upgrade an existing ships components. That is if you don't have the hull type, you cannot upgrade a ship, but lets say you salvaged a ship, you could upgrade it's existing components. This should/would have to be done at a shipyard.

One option would be to have levels of diplomacy attached to such trades. For example just like when an event happens you have 3 choices, B/P/M, trade offers could do similar. AI offers trade: I will give you "X" for ... (results in high diplomacy trade value and value X is much lower than value being traded) I will give you "Y" for ... (results in no diplomacy trade value - and value Y is close/near but still above the value being traded

Another thought I was just thinking , which should be a fairly easy check is to check "Alliances". Now I am not talking about formal alliances but rather the diplomacy level of target civ and other civs to them. For example, if civX wants to attack me, it should be able to check how many other civs I am on a "Good" basis with, then determined by their level of power and my level of power (and some possible ratio of friend civs) determine if attacking me is a goo

Lots of posts here so not sure if it's been mentioned, but AI Declares war when it's not even near you. Often I get declared on war from Civilizations which I can't even find on the map, which means they are at least more than one civilization away from my border. Yesterday I had a game where two civilizations declared on me and I could not find them. One civilization I found and they were two(2) civs between my civ and the attacking civ. Lat

It would be nice if you could search for either an item(or more importantly a tech) for trade in the diplomacy window. You enter in a field what you are looking for, and either opens trade with first that matches criteria (most friendly) or it highlights the civilizations which have that tech which you can then open trade with. Question, are the awards from Ideology continuous or a one time award? For example Quantum Leap (Benevolent) grants each colony +5 research, will this effect new colonies when I conquer them or just the ones that I current have at the time of selecting(taking) it?

It would be nice if the game would remember (or a way to set "ALL") opponent "Intelligence" settings. Nothing worse than when you have 50+ opponents and you have to manually scroll through the list setting each one.

YOu can go into Tutorial, campaigns or "new" game. I jumped right into new games, myself as having played previous versions, but I learned (from boards) a lot which might have been in turorial or campaign (others will have to answer that). I would start with that, then as you get comfortable you can download either additional races/ships from Steam or more advance stuff from Nexusmods.com. Nexus has things like Guantlets Race mod (races/ships/etc)

Right click item -> menu comes up -> swap for latest - Code then checks to see if there is room/weight if yes - it makes swap, if no then pops up dialog box explaining.

It would be nice if when in ship designer I can click on a component in the ships components and say upgrade to latest. This would save the need for first removing it, then adding it back in.

It would be nice if there was a menu option on the diplomacy popup menu when targeting/talking to a faction to locate said faction. This is especially useful, when an AI asks you to go to war with someone (a minor faction) and on large maps cannot find them... It should only locate known planets that belong to said faction. But again if you are at war with someone you should atleast know where they are coming from.

Ok, only recently started using carriers as I was told they were better. Is there a way to define the drones? Also I believe Guardian drones are the best? It would also be nice to be able to select different types of drones (missiles,kinetic/beam).
