What would be nice if when prompted one option was to "complete" this turn's move because I believe right now it completes other factions turns, THEN moves your ships their remaining moves (this often gets my ships killed)...

Help, Just downloaded the Snathi Revenge DLC and now neither "ESC" nor "ENTER" exit me out of the planet management screens? Was this changed on purpose with this DLC?
I wouldn't worry too much about font size unless they are drastic. Anyone who doesn't like small fonts would/should know you can simply increase a web page fonts thru your browser. The main issue I had was normally I scroll down to the "separation" header and look for new posts. WIth the mix of "pinned" posts it was hard for me to find that "break". As mentioned earlier I think you just just distinguished the pinned posts a bit more that would work. Mayb
The problem I see is the first cell, your flag(sticky) icon looks too much like the "bubble/checkmark". If maybe you made those a little more unique it may solve the problem, but again, a quick glance to be able to see new posts (non-sticky).
If your looking for input, I prefer the old section for pinned topics. It's seems much hard to distinguish the pinned topics from normal topics. Need more of a visual difference with current style.
95% sure it comes up before you have discovered all races. There is a setting - where the UP never meets under the start up conditions. Do you by chance have that set. Or maybe set to random and you are just extremely unlucky (always getting set to None). On your next game set it to the most frequent setting. I believe you can also go into Diplmacy and see when it is next meeting (bottom left corner "U.P. details" though not 100% sur
I agree, though I could see them having to recode AI to knowingly search for Anti-matter near black holes. Today I don't think they search a blackhole until they see/find the anti-matter. (I could be wrong though).
A nice feature would be search for trade resources (or maybe even Techs) under Diplomacy. When you are running a game with lots of Factions (30+) trying to find resources or a specific tech is a pain. You have to click on each faction, then click trade, then check for value, then click cancel (since esc doesn't work) then click Done (since esc doesn't work). Even if the esc button worked, it still 2 extra clicks x30+. Where as if you could
Yeah, having two sentry settings, one for any ship (other than your own) passing through ZOV would activate it, and a second that only enemy ships. I would want the first set near boarders where I an not Friendly with faction, but still not at war.
NO game/software would likely "fry" a graphics card (unless designed to). That being said, a graphics card will likely "cook" when over heating if your PC has poor ventilation, did a fan stop working, was something blocking the air intake? Also unless you have an old (low level) graphics card, I doubt GCIII would put the level of load on graphics card to "over heat it". Most graphic cards today are designed to handle FPS particle physics, which GCIII really doesn't have (w
What would be a nice feature is to be able to sort (by type of improvement) the list of Improvements. So when I am building a manufacturing focused planet I can click "Sort Manufacturing" and all the manufacturing improvements are sorted to the top. If a building has multiple improvement types (AntiMatter plant) it sorts by the type of Improvement selected. So if I sort on research it will appear with the research improvements, but probably at the lower end of the "Rese
I would want this toggelable as most of the time I would not want this extra set of clicks.
Yep - scrollable would work, think the hover may be easier fix.
Well I created a planet type called Dying World, which basically once was a Industrial world, which was destroyed via some cataclysm. So it has some basic production +4 raw production but -25% groth and -25% influence. Only good for class planets 1-9.
Planet Features attributes display need to be tweeked. I am designing more specific "focused" Planet Features (since the SCHEMA allows it). Planet Features can have one or more Bonuses and one or more NeighborBonuses. They can also be negative values. So trying to design Planet Features, for example Salt Flats, which you can mine/wealth, good for Military areas, Research Areas, but not real good for population. So these "advanced" features will have more
a Feature that would be cool is to "check mark" techs in a tree. This would be used during game play as you learn/trade for techs you can check things off, so when a faction offers a tech you can check to see if you have it (on another monitor). This could be just an in-memory settting/select. - wouldn't need it persisted.
I also think that it's impossible to "attack" them while in orbit. At least I am never able to target them with my fleets.
Thanks - yes that seemed to work.
You should be able to mouse over them and it will tell you if they are being mined. - though it would be nice to see the Faction icon on that popup.
Ok, downloaded latest client, unzipped to my "working utils" directory. C:\games\Steam-SDK\Galatic-Civ\Tech Tree Veiwer I then checked paths->edit and it looks like they are pointing to the proper directories. c:\games\steam\SteamApps\common\Galactic Civilizations III // Where game is installed C:\Users\vlos\Documents\My Games\GalCiv3\Mods // Where mods resides C:\Utils\UltraEdit\u
Thanks for the info, I will see if get my head wrapped around this and mod a planet. I thought I read somewhere that custom height maps were broken?
Ability to assign Factions to default teams. - Basically would allow players to design factions which are supposed to be grouped together which would make it easier when randomly selecting factions, so they would automatically be grouped/teamed. Examples: 0 6 <!-- would default faction
I think it should be a balance between the values. Military + Tech + Resources Where the weight of each could possibly scale. For example Dregin would weight Military more and Tech/Resources less. Then it's a simple comparision. For your chaotic race you could just randomly determine the weights at check time. You could also add in modifiers. So formula
It would be nice for start of game to be able to see these, so yes you can have a balanced game. Minimally would like to see Faction Name, Idology
THey might have attacked a Faction which had the ideology where if they attack the homeworld every faction declares war on them.
