I think it will be "end of the rainbow" to match my handle. As in where the pot o' gold is found. If I was able to draw my own Avatar, it would be a leprechaun tossing gold coins in the air, with a pot of gold sitting next to him.

Rap is being mentioned a lot here, so I thought I would pose a couple of questions: 1) How would you define the Rap genre of music? 2) When considering the definition you gave for question 1, how far back in history can you find music that matches that definition?

She's exactly what you'd expect in an alien supreme leader: She's very haughty. Some more color in her clothing would be nice, kinda make her stand out better.
I like her too. Other than her cloak and tiara what she is waring looks like very shiny reflective armor.
Do something like what Bethesda does with RPGs - give a list of tickyboxes with DLCs (and mods) and let people select which ones they want to use or not use.
That sounds a lot like what Civ V did. And with all of these comments about what was done about DLC's where, it looks like Steam doesn't support it and it is up to the game developer.

And Reddit, that place can be pretty rough.
I remember using the IRC facility StarDock provided for the GalCiv test cycles in the past. Since it had a targeted use, I found it was very good and appropriate. I don't think I could stomach a facebook approach. I think it lacks the monitoring required for communicating bugs and other test results. Also, is

Wouldn't you have to have all of the other civs near you with the new extended galaxy empty of habitation? Same for anomalies, resources, etc.? But the argument was, can it be allowed?
No, I am not against memory swapping (also called page swapping since it is handled by the OS a page at a time, and is caused by page faulting). Page faulting and the resultant page (or memory) swapping is a natural function of virtual address space operations. A little bit can be considered good, as that means

My area is AI and UI and helping on design elements. Regarding the backstory, this has all been planned, seriously, over 20 years now. Ship designs need very little memory compared to how much memory is needed just for a segment of the galaxy, with all of the stuff that must be put in each tile, such as stars, planets, ships, resources, anomalies, path lines for trade routes and asteroid mine delivery routes, tile borders, etc. etc. An

I think that was under the civilization description. I don't think they are planning to bring them in the next game, but it never hurts to come up with a equivalent, but different idea for this. The worst that could happen is that they don't do it right.
Again, that was in the campaign. Hopefully the

I see two problems here: 1) it is, as others would say, not GalCiv, 2) there could be copyright infringement involved. We hear a lot of our community friends asking for something from another game, but this is the first time I have thought of this. There could be legal reasons for not making GC3 look like another game. Of course, the ones that have to do the real worrying about this are at StarDock.

Further examination of the colony list shows a menu like bar with only four options; "all", "income", "class", "population", and a down arrow. Perhaps these are sort options (if so then what is "all" for?) which are too few unless the down arrow brings up an expanded list of options. My first reaction is that the "all" option makes it look like a list of filters, but the other options contradicts that, so maybe they are sort options, but if so what could the "all" be for. And if the down arro
