I adapt the way i play to avoid doing the things the UI makes difficult, its quite easy to do. However, i still cannot avoid the reality of how useful and end turn at any time would be, or my ship destination paths that were in Galciv2..... so i know i already dispatched a constructor to that station..... some things are just fundamentally useful and you cannot avoid missing those things.

I only put my ear speakers on when i am ready to watch an interesting battle, otherwise, no. But it is funny you should mention 'clicking' as being annoying..... my elderly father likes to play solitaire on his tablet. He has a strange habit of hammering the screen with his fingernail, and it is exceedingly annoying. Often i will ask him "would you like a hammer with that?"
Mabe a unique trade good that would be lost if they got taken over might make minor races a bit more interesting in the game. If Earth was a minor race, what would our unique trade good be? hmmm, probably DRM! lol
what gave me the most trouble moving from galciv2 to galciv3 is comprehending that manufacturing does not have that huge desire to destroy your economy like it does in galciv2. So i started playing galciv3 focusing on population and money and avoiding manufacturing, just like in galciv2.... population is good, but money is pretty useless because it is so inefficient (rush buying, upgrading). The AI will come at you hard before you can get organized and fleets will turn up that you hav
Not sure, but i would guess no on the basis that the ideology that grants each existing colony a new tile will not work for any new colonization or conquest after that point in time.
they had a good idea in that X series of games.... X2 the threat and x3 reunion. Its a pretty complex UI in X2 already, but once you are used to it, your good. Then they made drastic changes to the UI in X3...... however, they added a simple option to revert back to traditional UI of X2 if you wanted too. I ended up learning the new X3 UI and preferring it ..... however, given the same UI option between Galciv2 and galciv3, being allowed to use galciv2 UI in galciv3.... i woul
thanks - found it. Still would be nice if it remembered settings from previous selections.
It did in galciv2.... however, occasionally it would reset to the lowest difficulty level, then you would be playing for an hour only to discover all the Ai are useless and your game is ruined!
Everything should be for sale, at a rational price. Russia absolutely would have sold the USA Siberia, just not for the same price/acre as they did Alaska. Heck, Mexico sold us the Gadsdend Purchase - the small strip of southern Arizona/New Mexico. That was a part of the core Mexican territory. Yet it was happily sold to the USA, just at a price/acre that was 40 times what the USA paid for Alaska. The ke

If you know nothing about coding/moding you really should just not comment.
No, i was interested to understand if it is something that can affect my game. As for saying i should not comment due to not knowing about modding.... WTF? well that's just stupid, since you

I had some terraforming options left so i terraformed one of those tiles but the other one i didn't need. Just strange.
Sorry, didn't SD introduce shipleveling in 1.8? Only not to update tooltips? I know I didn't come up with this bright idea of shipleveling, or code it for that matter, just cause I take advantage of this new system means that my mod is bugged? Not that the tooltip is giving the wrong info, nope I did it cause I took advantage of a feature added by the devs. Right.....
I don't know? So far i on
No dude, its a Tooltip Bug, Tooltips and UI are not moddable. They just didnt account for the mentioned issues when they designed the tooltips. Yea probably the GPU. But i never heard it making those noises in previous advanced games? The only changes to the system are the new DLC that i added plus updating the wireless drivers. Its possible previous games were not quite this expansive though..... they always crash before getting this far in, and then i am more inclined to start a new game than reload the saved game several turns behind. those previous crashes were nothing special like what this
They are planning on releasing a standalone expansion next year. So I would wait until that comes out and jump in then rather than having to potentially have to buy the game twice in under a year.
A year is a long time.... unless you have a large backlog of games to get through, which many people do! lol I love the game, but the one thing i would love to have is an end turn command override.
If you've already got one currently going though, I believe it will finish even if you acquire a different specialization via trade halfway through. I never tried iTunes but Personally, when i hear things like this, it makes me wonder if iTunes might be one of those 'invasive' programs that plants much deeper roots into your system than is necessary?
I always wondered what happens to a ship with prototype components if i sell it to the AI? Does it give back my resources? The AI then has to use its resources to support it? In Galciv2 my ships would 'lose' hit points from experience, and many other things when sold to the AI, does this happen in Galciv3?
