All of the weirdness goes away if we actually just mined a quantity of resources over time and then permanently spent it. It also would open the game up to our unique resources "drying up" (as an option), and eventually needing to move on to new sources. Also its so weird and unnatural to me, that I get the resources BACK if I get my ships blown up.
Make sure you pick up the 1.2 update. The AI is substantially better.
I definitely noticed this. Certainly the AI is getting a bit better at building fleets, and securing an area before sending in transports. They have also started to bypassing my front line fleets to get to my transports. Its also using the defensive buildings now, so I'm having to use things like Bio and Info warfare to win fights whe
guard will ignore everything. Always. It just stays put. Sentry will "wake up" if a ship gets close.... or rather within sensor range, which can be quite big, and can make it less useful.
Guard is great but kinda weird... arguably its just "stay" and don't bother me... which should just be default behavior with a options check box for "alert me to idle ships"
I, like most others, don't make them myself. I've collected imagery from a bazillion places, so there is no one answer your question. Glad they are helping fill those voids! I don't mind other factions from existing universes, but only if I use them with each other, mixing them with races outside of their specific universe does feel a bit off to me.
side note... when I read " I'm an excellent chess teacher. My philosophy is to beat them repeatedly until either" For a second I thought I read " I'm an excellent class teacher. My philosophy is to beat them repeatedly until either" Which was pretty hilarious.
Oh no worries. I have plenty of issues. But I try to remain productive. You keep trying to help janhardo, so it looks like you value success. Hence why you should care that your use of caps is ineffective/fruitless. He's likely another troll, but if on the off chance he is real, the he seems to have a language issue , and well, caps isn't going to help him.
I can admit, that the occasional use of Bold, Caps, Italics, or Underline can be helpful to express additional tone or emotion in a post. By occasional, I mean its special use, so that it stands out. For example, when I used singular, and in italics, the aim is for the reader to voice that word in their head, longer than normal. To hesitate and contemplate on its usage. However, whole lines in Caps or other styles, conveys either negative emotions,
Hey guys. If you close the menu for selecting a shipstyle, but hover over it, and then use your mouse wheel, you can cycle through all the styles and choose any of them. We still need a scroll bar (or mousewheel functionality when IN the list) but you can go through all your styles.
And we all know that the most important thing to being heard is writing IN ALL CAPS.

Well hopefully that gets adjusted soon, also there it's a mod that largely foxes this too. Good point regardless though.

Hey there! So previous custom factions or future custom factions do not affect anything. So we are safe there. Those do seem to be the correct files, and they are definitely in the right place. Even if you installed everything else incorrectly, they would still show up under normal circumstances. Is it possible that they are present, but that, on the GC3 screen in question, that the menu isn't large enough to display and you don&
1) make sure you have mods enabled in your settings 2) go to your documents, gc3, factions folder, how many files do you see? Perhaps your download was incomplete and you are missing files? There should be about 11 files. Let me know, happy to help.
Look I'm going to let my part go here. Other's deserve the talking space. But on a seperate note, with or without tech licensing... how about limiting the techs you can buy/sell to stuff the receiving party can currently attempt to research? It would at least slow how many techs you can acquire in a given diplo-trade from one party, because you'd have to wait for the next trade cycle to continue moving down a tech chain.
The US loves to sell weaponry, we all know this, but the US doesn't love to sell weaponry to what we perceive as our rivals. Hence my reference to China. But why don't we? Because they know, that if you sell valuable equipment and expertise to a rival, they will develop their own independent capacity to use such technology and enhance upon it much more rapidly than otherwise. In every instance you mentioned, the result has been the recipient country understanding the technolog
I dont think GC3 will evolve into a good game even with 100+ patch, the dev is understaff and don't have budget to fix and add the decent feature that usually exist in 4x space game.
While this could be true, I doubt you have any actual information that proves this. More likely you are making this assumption because Stardock is working on what... 4 games? Sorcerer King, Servo, Ashes of the Singularity, and GC
Hey there. I've gotten this a few times, but only after 300+ turns of play. What I've been able to do: 1) Set auto save to every 1 turn. 2) When idle ship happens, close and restart GC3, then reload to the previous turn. 3) Play can then continue and I likely won't hit the bug for another 50ish turns or more.
Thanks so much for the updates! The professionalism is appreciated!
So I can tell the US military not to worry about selling China the blue prints for patriot missile systems! They will be so happy to hear that lol. Hard drives are made in Thailand because of the economics, and Thailand manufacturers have little economic incentive to develop new drives (probably the opposite, as new drives might mean new equipment/technique/etc. which have costs). There is a entrenched innovation industry in the US and other places, and as a res
" If you can use a tech, you must understand the tech" You need to know that when I read this... my head translated it into: "To Defeat the Bug! We must Understand the Bug!" Followed by... "We can ill afford another Klendathu" I then cheered. Kudos to those who get the reference :)
