Yeah. The sixty seconds assets all exist, but as of now there are three shows in modern 2008 (Coldcut, O'Malley, and King), one in civil war (Boxcar Charlie), one in Europa (Mime Time), and then one for Drengi (GNN). The problem with interviews during our development wasn't just the art asset creation but also the writing of unique questions for every interview. While there are the fantastic art assets for 60 seconds we just didn't have time to write up a bunch of questions. As
I hope that this will also fix the wrong effects those ads have on the national top ten topics, i.e. that the topic gets more important not less important.
Yup yup. It should; both the position on an issue (a range of [-10,10]) and importance (range of [1,10]) would have been effected by this.
This appears to be fixed in version 1.02.024 which is on Impulse now.I checked both a Republican custom and a Democrat custom candidate and saw issue stances across the board.Hooray and thanks!-KnightAV
I'm not so sure that it is fixed. I think I did narrow the issue down, though. When you create a new candidate and go straight into a game with him, he seems to have very neutral stances across the board; however, if you quit out of the game, restart it, and choose tha
I tested this out of curiosity. Here's what happened:Starting value for High Gas Prices:-25After TV Ad AGAINST High Gas Prices:-18Next week:-19Next week:-20So I would conclude that the known bug is the only one at work here.-KnightAV
It's fixed, it should be in the next update post-1.02.
Yup yup yup. I saw your other posts and have been looking into it.
If the decrease only happens once then it's a known bug. There is an issue (which I am working on at this very moment) where the default values are overwritten by the first ad/speech that affects a particular issue. So while it may drop from -25 to -8 at first, the score should continue to drop from -8 from there. I mean, if it's not doing that then please tell me so I can know to cry.
In the manual it said there was a way to view all campaign assets, but I cannot find this feature. It would really help to see what TV ads you already have running. Is there a way?
Yup yup. Double-click an ad or candidate and it will launch the Asset window. That screen shows all of a player's assets in the game. Alternatively, there is also an "Assets" button right below the candidate's name in the lower-left window on the main UI.
In a lot of cases, the end game boils down to sabotaging both your opponent's issue ratings and his or her awareness in a state. When I'm playing as a Republican candidate and want to win California I have to, basically, launch what we call an Intimidator Bomb. I hire about four-five intimidators and move them to states where the awareness is locked at 100%/100%; if both a republican candidate and a democratic candidate have maxed out awareness and the issue ratings for one candi
If the computer is limited to 100 points, then why does McCain have a stance on almost every issue at the first turn?
Can you give me some more details on this particular problem? This shouldn't be possible. I just started up a game on Masochistic as Obama and played against McCain and, at the beginning, McCain has a -1 stance on Illegal Immigration and -95 on Withdrawing from Iraq. At end of the first turn his stance on Illegal Immigration changed to -5 after he made a speech
It's so very attractive.
I didn't focus on multiplayer because, for the most part, I don't really care. I played it one night with a bunch of friends and it was a blast but the party system wasn't exactly "easy." I hear that people that do try the multiplayer typically like it a greal deal. There are a ton of game modes and then a free mode which just lets you and a bunch of friends screw around in Liberty City. There is also, apparently, a progressive upgrade system which lets you deck out your online p

It's a game that cost $100 milli
You're dumb. :(
Demigod is not Star docks secret Project, Demigod is another FPS, RPG game.
It's an RTS (Real-Time Strategy)/RPS game; not an FPS.
For this update, my role in Asplode! was absolutely minimal. While I'm in the middle of a mild crunch for The Political Machine 2008 and then away at Rochester, New York for a Paramore concert, Josh was working asininely hard on version 1.2 of Asplode! . As started, my role in this update was purely peri
Looks good, but I hope you'll fix some of those typos and mistakes before release.
Nah, we're trying to put all of this work into the game so that we can release it with a bunch of grammatical errors and simplistic typos. It improves our morale and makes us look good at the same time.
Yeah, so, I'm releasing Asplode! now and such. And, along with the game, comes all of the source to the game. I originally wasn't planning on releasing the source but as development winded down and I started to play the game for longer sessions I soon realized that the game became virtually unplayable on my machine after about seven-eight minutes. I thought this may have been a result of poorly-managed graphical assets so I took a couple days to optimize them (and, as a r
Should I get Crisis Core? My PSP is painfully little-used.
It's hard for me to recommend it to anyone who hasn't played Final Fantasy 7, but it's a very good game no matter if you have or not (and the soundtrack is spectacular). And your PSP isn't used much? That's a crime . I have Wipeout Pulse, Final Fantasy Tactics, Patapon, God of War, Disgaea, Jeanne D'Arc, Crisis Core (and a couple others I can't remember) a
ImpulseDriven gets my wholehearted vote. I love the UI and the focus on game/software stuff. Kudos to andrew_ for his excellent work on this.
I've been playing a very time-intensive game of musical chairs with various three-dee engines over the course of the last two-and-a-half weeks in an attempt to find the one that would be best suited to my particular development style and the kind of game I want to create. And I can safely say that, tonight, I have reached the ultimate solution. That's right, after toying around with things like TorqueX , <a href="http://www.garagegame
Last weekend as a result of being hungover after my first time drinking in over a year and waking up on a couch in the apartment of a gay nineteen-year-old friend of my friend's and the first thing I saw being a Hannah Montana poster on the ceiling above the couch where I was sleeping I bought a license to TorqueX Pro . I've used other GarageGames products in the past for various experiments and random fun, but I've never used one to
I maintain that this is an absolute ridiculous position to take. Do violent video games make people more prone to commit acts of violence? Are atheists more intelligent than the religious? It's drawing a connection for the sake of making a connection.
Way to not include me in this despite being on the game's development team. :(
After a few days of Nick 's endless campaigning, I finally signed up for Twitter ; it was an odd concept for me and one I was greatly resistant to doing. After all, I never use the Facebook status messages or anything, so why would I want a system which is exactly that ? He said "just try it, you'll like it; it's hard to explain." He even linked me to other blog entries about it and I still thought it was
