I've played a lot of games recently with two fantastic Mods by Horemvore and Gauntlet. Probably the highlight for me is some of the shipsets that both these mods contain. But I know Gauntlet's shipsets aren't on GalCiv 3 Steamworkshop. Will we still be able to use these shipsets in the new Crusade expansion as we can with the ships on the Steamworkshop?

Yeah I agree with you that the battle scenes are a bit of a shame. I would prefer to play the battle scenes and think it wouldn't be beyond Stardock's skills to come up with an interface where you could control the ships movement (perhaps on tiles) and the ships' weapons functions with the opportunity to do a broadside or attack the rear of a vessel just as you mentioned. i'm heading towards the end of the age of war period and am playing a synthetic race but with a Terran tech tree. I've noticed that none of the farming tech trees seems to have any effect on population. Is there anything I can do?

Good effort man in updating GST for the latest patch. Man I'm not trying to be troll but I can't even get the game to load without deleting the text files from the Star Trek core mod. Similarly with just one faction using stare trek ships, the game crashes before loading a galaxy. Even when I take all of the other mods out, like Peregrine Battle Mod - it crashes when loading the galaxy. Perh

Nearest comes from removing the text file from Star Trek but I can only build small galaxies. Thanks Horemvore! Almost worked! I'm beginning to feel like a pain in the but I can only get the modules to work on small galaxies setting. Anything large or over causes a crash. Do you think there is anything else I could do to get it working for immense galaxies or larger? Cheers
Having added GRM and Horemvore's Star Trek mod, I can see shipstyle names in the drop down when making a new race but I cannot select the star trek ones. You gents have any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Nope. I've been deleting files - text files and tech defs to see if I could load just load the ships. I guess deleting files counts as editing?
Hello folks I've encountered another problem. I seem to have lost a number os shipsytles although they are in the My Games/ design and in the startup and design sections of Galciv 3 on steam. Now the: Andorian, Borg, Cardassian, Dominion, Klilngon, Romulan and Vulcan ship styles disappear? Any thoughts on what the potential problem might be?
I had a similar problem when using Gauntlet's mods - including the mercenary expansion. I stopped opening the Mercenary bizarre. Horemvore - would I be able to pair things back by removing all the files on your mod to just the ships or does your mod have dependencies that mean lots of different changes have to stay?
Cheers Horemvore, That worked really well up to a point. I can now see the ship classes and select them and the new Star Trek tech trees. But when I try and load the game it crashes and I get a Galactic Civilisations III notice offering me the chance to explain what the problem is. I had a quick scan through the debug report but I wouldn't necessarily know what I was looking for. </p
Sorry that was maybe a little unclear. I gave the Adhocracy of the Chit the Torian shipstyle. I did add custom ship styles to the game and am playing them with other factions but not with the faction that won't validate - that is Torian shipstyle. I don't know how to validate files.

Yeah, doesn't load a faction because the style is not there: The faction... has failed to validate for the following reasons and will not be available: +unknown shipstyle I tried adding the Torian survey ship to the objgfxcfg file and there is a Torian survey ship in the Startup folder in Designs. But for some reason it is not recognised
Hi Hormevore. Had success by not installing the text files. I can work around that. For some reason though the game doesn't recognise the Torian shipstyle which I use for one of my factions. I tried to add it to the objgfxcfg file in the Startup folder but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong with it as it still fails to appear. Couldn't ask for any ideas/ tips could I?
Just ran through a couple of trial runs Perhaps I could remove a couple of files from the Core Mod, do you think or one of the other ones? Can I get rid of the text files?
