We are good in Florida. no symptoms. Me and my husband are both under 65 and healthy (knock on wood), We have no $$ issues so far, pantry stocked. Our trip to Alaska is put on hold, we cancelled our yearly BBQ and Jim is a World wide wrestling fan,
The trip to Alaska doesn't bother me at all, unless it's a cruise ship--it's the trip back to Florida again that's the problem.

The only problem I see with a mere dozens of people lying on beaches when it is upwards of 30 and higher outside is, it's harder to limit access to the beach to only a few people vs. just closing them for everybody. I was going to go to the beach last week and we would have been the only ones there, but decided against it for unrelated reasons.

I've got a client who is in biotech. Hope to get more ventilators out there. A lot of this societal shutdown is throwing roadblocks our way, when we need to be working round-the-clock on overdrive. And frankly, whatever they ask for, they should get it.

I just want some degree of communication to what's what. If I click on "Current Events", I get a 404.

Here's what crap: China and South Korea have already figured it out. China bought that knowledge at a very high price. Resultingly China has been able to largely contain the virus (and more specifically, the mortality rate) to just the Wuhan province. Since then, China has been helping Italy (albeit Italy is still not doing too well). South Korea has NOT instituted extreme quarantine measures. In fact, they lifted them. Their number of cases has go

I definitely have opinions on the rona, and they are not completely out of alignment with yours, but depending on how SD feels that could be considered political. MHO: rona is the talk of the town. Let it be. Might as well have it here, too, and draw visitors.

Coronavirus discussion. Is that allowed? I thought it relevant to this board, since good ole self-quarantine has me renewing my interest in the latest Galciv3. I previously didn't care as much about the latest updates, since I had moved on to other things, but I care now. Thanks Stardock. Work from home, you provide us something valuable that we need: an escape. When we get sucked in to an addictive game, we end up quarantining ourselves anyw

If I must pick a worst, and there are no limits as to what games are eligible, then I have to give my "worst" booby prize to the Forum Ban game on the Everything Else forum here. That one's pretty bad.

I have to give my best award to Civ5. It's kind of hard to come up with a worst game without some kind of limits as to what games are eligible for this category. It's not too difficult to come up with a game that segfaults, regularly. I could write one in 15 minutes.

If you are not religious, then yes, of course prayers for California is ineffectual. I am religious, but I am willing to team up with anyone who is not in order to take action. Heck, if Calexit goes through, I will move there.

I built a long time ago and then stopped. As was said, if your time is that expensive, don't do it. It's not that you can't. It's that the economics just don't make sense.

I am on board with the way more planets/clusters idea. I would just call them galaxies. That is not to say that "smaller is better" is wrong, though. It's just the artistic direction this is taking. This sets up D-Day style invasions and would probably feel similar to Continents style maps in Civ. But this could take on a whole new Star Trek feel, where play styles in different galaxies are very different. One galaxy is tight-cluster, ample resources.&
