I'm thinking there's going to be some tactical, in whatever form, involved in combat. Just from bits and pieces surrounding the AI updating its own behavior and tactics/strategy through Stardocks server. That excites me no-end.

I've looked and looked at pics and the video that exists of the Thalans but I couldn't spot any zippers. So I think they're real. I definitely look forward towards the story playing out.

I like the idea of having specialized worlds in the game, may add certain complexities and/or at least make the AI's life much easier which would then be able to provide a better challenge. However, I more-or-less already do that in galciv2. Granted, it's not possible to have a "food planet" but I wouldn't use it anyway. The ideas of specialized tiles was to, themselves, add another set o' complexity and decision-making into the game. I quite enjoy not having "

I've always simply used the sorting options in the planet list. The ones with larger production and research were the ones that mattered and were likely the ones that had such planet features.

How about events that are connected? One mega-event and then one or more smaller ones that would follow, all based on the decisions made from the prior ones. That may offer a way to ease in significant changes. Could also allow, say, big advances in a soldier bonus and then after a possibility for larger expenditure to take care of returning soldiers, or not. And then an increase in medical (growth) or happy counters, but if declined earlier could result in a small increase in militar

Too many of each and it's hard as hell to keep 'em all straight. I would like to see as many planets as possible I can't see any of them anyways. I would at least like to see all the Techs keep up with my expansion anyways. I guess we can agree to disagree. Thats why u have different sizes of maps

Could it have some improvement, sure but I liked most of what they had. There was lots of it, so you never ran out of stuff to research. I don't want them to throw away all they had before. I agree.[/quote] Thirded.

In real life? Real life also has a sense of scale ... ;) People just ain't smart enough for true 3D. Look at all the conceptualized battles in space made by movies and television shows. I mean, I'm fine for it 'cause I'm brilliant and handsome and all. But not you guys.

The ability to actively frame another civilization would be awesome. Would it be too difficult for an after action report (end of game) to show off the reasons, or some such, behind AI civ decisions? I'm playin' a game and the humans on here (I'm playing a created race) actively hate the bajeezus outta everybody. Was instant war at all corners of the map. Though they haven't slammed me 'cause, well, they're slammin' everyone else. I'm ho
