At a certain moment i left the U.P (united planets) union, because i want to go to war But before i left there was a peace treaty for a half year valid. I stepped out of the U.P ( cannot come back ) there , but i cannot go to war, because there is message that there is a peace treaty currently valid. How to break this peace treaty..casus belli ?

Yes , i got the same experience...sometimes it is less then 100 %, while i aspect to have set on 100 %
America and Holland ..time difference ? Battling in nasty underdog position with only 2 colonies -- the dreadlordsfleet are around now in the vincinity of a shipyard..when do they attack ? Money shortage makes that it is difficult to build up a fleet.. ( i must now precisly figure out for the future how many starbase can be around the homesystem with two planets) I add a economic/manufacturing module tothe starbases... If the dreadlordflee
I am sorry i am a little bit lazy with the language . [e digicons][/e]
wrong post..i pushed on that stupid quote button right next the edit button
I play now on a tiny map with random stars ... i try to follow the same strategy as with the large maps..minimal research for colonybuilding( all that colony research/building handling ..pff ) ..and maximal research for warships building at the right game phase. ( it goes fast here..forplay/midplay and endplay ) There is no new colony building possible.. so influence become important..and all fine details of the constructor placement. Also
Hell, I'll challenge both you AND Echillion and beat both of you (while you two work together).
Sounds good... [e digicons][/e] i you can try teach me that level of playing..you are welcome I don't know how the playing level of Echillion is ?, but he can contact me and maybe we can play a game.
Hey Marigoldran If you want to share more of your strategy insights .. let me know, because now i am not a strong opponent in a multiplayer game but that can change if i learn more. Although when i should play a multiplayer game against you it is likely that we both play the same strategy, or do you have more strategic magic in your sleeve ?
Thanks If i know who has given a free tech to me ?..there has no communication yet been. There is a message list in GALCIV 3, perhaps it is there to find ?
There is one race friendly to our race, but we did not have yet communicate with eachother ...could i t be that i get a tech for free from this race ?
Ok solved ..the research is working as it should ..no still problems and the game seems to be hanging twice ( or does it take a lot of time ?)I restart and the research tree shows a tech what is lit , while the tech before is not lit ? ( the whole bracnch is not lit ). I do not communicate with other races ..can it that i got a tech from another race what stands positive toward me. Is it possible to get techs form other races without communicating with them ? <
Well i never play multiplayer games, because i am not that good in a particular game(s) The same for chess... there is no drive for me to go study this really deeper to try to become good in it
How about to play Dwarf fortress?..a fungame with incredible depth...
Honestly spoken.. i don't care if marigoldran uses CAPS here on this forum ..it is not that important here on this forum..it is blown up the importance here. Have fun with playing is the keypoint ofcourse I played a huge map with random planets and got 18 planets in 30 turns ..not bad..the moment that i got a incoming unreadable message from a race ..and later on i saw a ship..then it is time to start with the constructors ( hoping having enough time ?) It s
To write with caps is something what normally is not necessary, because writing with normal letters has the same meaning..strength. I have never used caps in teaching someone..because it is unprofessional. I admit that marigold makes a bit of a mess from his instructions for his strategy to follow for others and there is another person in this thread also complaining about this. Teaching is not a strong point of marigold, but that is not so easy i f you don'
CAN NOT BE MISSED THEN [e digicons][/e]
But getting 6 colony ships by turn 6 IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO WINNING THE GAME ON MOST MAPS.
Most maps is not enough.. this strategy must be followed on all maps. Colonising 4 lifesupport aera for colonisers..then building constructors to get economic starbases for the income, then researching militairy and colonisiong further with tiny hulls colonisers to save money.
Thanks for the further advice marigoldran Yes , be patiencely is from both sides needed...and the language barrier is also a obstacle for me...expressing myself is limited. One dimensional you mean only focussing on rush colonize and build up a militairy power ..please elaborate .. must i play another additional strategy style ? I am still puzzling how to get in 30 turns..30 colonies...so i am not at the right colony rush level yet.
No , that is not the case here a troll or language barriere.. i don't understand how you came on this?.. give some seroius attention to understand how to expand with colonies as fast as possible Can't say for marigoldran, but take him serious..
I am curious what makes youthink that there is a exponential grow of a quantity involved? Although i can get at least in 6 turns... 6 colonizers...i have played, but get 5 colonies in 15 turns..so something goes wrong here..i spend too much money..i could not upgrade my colonizers anymore and they become useless.
Thanks I will try that out ..and now with the required number of colonisers, i look how this works out [e digicons][/e]
It seems that i do have now 8 colony ships on turn 6 !, but with 2 planets ( i forget homeworld 3 ) Still complicated..with upgrading or choosing the right coloniser to go to the nearest planet and keep on building colonisers With default coloniser M1 ( 4 lifesuppport ) i get a area of 15 stars , but perhaps there are double stars, t eget 30 planets here is impossible, so the range of the coloniser must be extended.
That's false. Exponential growth is only good if you have a lot of time or amount.
Well , given here that t (time ) goes from 0 to infinity ( x-axis ) Yes, it needs some time that the exponential grow gets a bigger y- value then a lineair grow on the same time t There is at least one colony ship at the start,it can go colonizing on t = 0 ...what can i do on t = 0 to get a colon
I am sorry for the mess ..i am battling with this forum system
