Howdy. I had around 30 races I did as MOD previous to crusade and is in the process of converting them over. I am running into a few issues, mostly around assinging ships. I can figure out how to assign ships, but a number of ship templates seems to be missing.... A number of balanced ship templates (Titan,balanced fighter, etc) are not there If you try to create a new civ and you use the civ builder to add ship templates, you own get TWO (I believe) balanced ships.

Many of the balanced ships are not there.... including the titan class? Also of the three carriers, only the drone carrier is available... bug or did I miss something?

custom starbase won
Its a lot of work..... basically you have to arm *ALL* of your ship with some weapons and save it as custom ships, then use the custom ships and save it as template.... Use the new template as in your custom race xml file. the default ships (using this new template) will be able to mount/use weapons
Gauntlet03, Remember this issue? https://forums.galciv3.com/472373/page/1/#3652024 I have my own mod and your mode in my GCIII games and both custom races are suffering from this situation. I think I figured out what is going on (your theory is correct)... and I have a way to fix this issue... However it will be A LOT of work... let me know if
This only seems to affecting default ship sets... we also have reports about starbases doing the same thing
Gauntlet03... I am working on my own mod and running into this issue... It get no mention of this bug anywhere else other than you. I am seeing it ONLY on balanced Dreadnough and its happening on my own mod and your mod. Did you ever get to the bottom of this or this is one of those 'it is what it is' situation. PS: Sorry to revive a SUPER old post... but this is the only reference I manage to find relating to this annoying issue
P.Shaw.. Hey thanks. I'll check it again... It didn't work for me during initial 1.7 beta launch but I will try again. Favorite is a pretty good workaround for me for now if it survives from game to game. thanks
1.7 pretty much broke my game play... there is noting wrong with the game itself... just the new ship sorting is breaking how I usually organize my ships and basically remove my ablity to find the right ship myself. I asked for a feature to keep a 'alphabetical' order in design, but i doubt it it will make it in 1.7. I think one of my work around will be to put all my ships in 'favorite', but it doesn't look like it carry over from game to game
with the new mass change, once the ship is over-mass you can edit... kind of a catch-22. What I did is to unload all my mass in 1.6 before updating to 1.7 We have other issues in shipyard we are discussing in steam right now.
and complicated = good (if you guys haven't seen Gauntlet's ships.... check it out)
I'll try to put mine in and see... I think some of my models are less complicated than Gauntlet's :) If I post pictures next week then you know they did it :)

Just trying to figure out how to set default shipyard :) If you have your mod redone wtih shipyard maybe I'll just take a look at your mod. thank you for your help

Finally got around to redo my Babylon 5 Warlock class... The Bow of the ship is hard to do... I think I got the shape right but the color is still a little off. It had an error that said 'Stardock needs to approve' so I ignored this whole ship printing excercise until a few nights ago when i tried again...... This time I registered an account and exported the ship to local and updated manually and its working fine (but a 89.99 sticker price for my battleship is a bit much for me) I will try to upload directly from game tonight and see if I see a the approval status again Honestly I don't think this i
